Favorite Albums

As a music lover in this day and age, buying the actual album isn’t needed anymore. You can digitally buy it off iTunes or Amazon. To me, that’s not enough. I like the fact I have all these CDs in my storage bag where they’re all aligned to keep them from getting scratched up. Having the physical album might be old school for you newcomers but having the actual thing makes it easier for your favorite artists or bands to sign it. Even though, everytime you meet a favorite of yours the stuff you’d like them to sign is usually at home on your bed waiting for the chance to be gushed about to friends later that night. I always like having the actual album because of the design on the CD itself and the little booklet inside that have amazing pictures of your favorites. There’s nothing more but the joy of opening up a new CD and looking through the booklet and reading the back for the different songs as you’re listening to it on your stereo.

I’m very picky. Since I like a little of uniqueness and originality in each song, I stick with what I’ve been doing for a few years now. I’ve been listening to the intro of the song, the lyrics and how everything sounds before I make the mistake of saying “it sucks” just after five minutes of listening to it. In the past, I use to do that with my Backstreet Boys CDs. I still can’t listen to the first two albums all the way through. I can’t get my body to give them a chance. Their album that came out in 2009, now that one I can listen all the way through. I try to give everybody a chance. That’s all everybody deserves is a chance in hell to be my list of favorites. You have to be original and awesome at the same time. Lots of artists and bands can’t do that. These albums that made the cut were both of these: original and awesome.
