October Playlist!

untitled

Hello!

So I am back with a monthly playlist after only sharing what songs I was addicted to hearing in the summer! Is it weird that summer is over and we’re now in November?! I mean, that’s just crazy! Most of the time, I’m the one who thinks time just flies by throughout the year, but I think after my papaw’s passing earlier this year, I think it’s been going by at a slower pace.

Anyways, this previous month has been an interesting one! I started writing out my songs again, but I didn’t start doing it until the second week because I was being very lazy. I think I wanted to listen to a lot of different genres throughout the month of October. It also tends to bring out a very mysterious side – as it should! I think a song that sort of helped this feeling along was “Poltergeist” by Banks because it’s very moody and dark, she’s just amazing! I was also listening to a lot of different one hour mixes of instrumental music to help motivate me to do some writing too!

Tune Tuesday | United States of America 2016

tunetues2016

Today is it! No more Tune Tuesday worldwide posts until next May! Like I mentioned last week, I am pretty sad that it’s ending. I still don’t know what I’m going to do for Tuesdays after this finishes. I can tell you that the next two weeks will be empty, no new Tune Tuesdays of any kind for the rest of the year! It still shocks me that it has been over five months since it all started!

For my own country, I have three acts that everybody should know and if you don’t, then you must leave underneath a rock somewhere!

The first is a duo, they are The Chainsmokers. I’m still confused why they are glad “The Chainsmokers” but that’s another story! This past summer they released a total of four songs! “Roses,” “Inside Out,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” and “Closer” and three out of four became #1 best song on the music charts! That’s insane! Super proud of Alex and Drew on the work they’ve done lately! They have a new track called “All We Know” that features Phoebe Ryan, who is also very underrated and you should definitely check her out too!

I thought I needed to talk about an all-girl group and the only group that came to my mind was Fifth Harmony. All of the girls are amazing! Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, and Dinah Jane. They all have a certain edge that you bring to the group. And since we’re on the subject of female singers, my last artist is one that you tend to hear at the end of your favorite TV shows like The Vampire Diaries, Shadowhunters, and Pretty Little Liars. Ruelle is a very dark, but interesting vocalist. She mostly makes music for movies and TV shows and who knew there was such a difference? I think it’s cool!

What do you think of the acts I’ve selected to end Tune Tuesday for the time being? Who do you want to see next year?

Summer 2016 Playlist

Untitled

Hey guys!

So back in July, for the monthly playlist. I had mentioned that I wanted to wait until the end of summer to release the playlist of summer anthems. Every year we have a certain jam that we listened to like crazy and last year it was Major Lazer’s “Lean On” featuring DJ Snake and Mø. Despite the fact that Major Lazer did release a track, I didn’t think it was as great so I am not including it below.

Apparently, I can never pick just one track, hell no! That would be too easy for me! I ended up putting 20 songs! It’s not a good idea to go track down different songs on YouTube! All of the songs are in my opinion great songs that I heard from the end of April to now. So you might agree and disagree with a few of the tracks I’ve listed but that’s okay!

Be sure to look on my Facebook page after reading this as I will be adding two more songs! One is in the rock and the other is pop! 😉

Hope you enjoy it anyways!

Hey guys,

So I haven’t been doing my job of keeping track of all the songs I’ve listened to this past month. Everytime I went to tell myself “I need to write this down” I would go “oh, I’ll remember it tomorrow” in my head knowing I won’t remember a thing! At first, I didn’t know what the song of the month would be, because I couldn’t find one. And then, one day I was over at my nana’s and I had The Chainsmokers new single “Closer” playing in my head. May Playlist!

playlist

HA! You thought I wouldn’t do another one of these posts! Honestly I did consider it but since how much music I can still consume by my TV and YouTube (I’m actually watching music videos!) I knew I would still want to do some sort of playlist post for you guys. You may not get an exactly big one every month and certainly no Spotify playlist for a while, but I’m still hoping this will do!

I thought of only listing a total of five songs each month so I don’t have to waste paper in my notebook. I did start writing out songs in there and then I came up with this idea! So every month I’ll write a post of the songs I couldn’t stop hearing on the radio or on my iPod. I’m still giving you the song of the month and as for May it’s definitely “FML” by K. Flay the DJ Vanic remix. Oh my gosh, this is so good! Despite the phrase that is used throughout and in the title, the actual beat is intense and brilliant! If you haven’t heard of it yet, you need to! Does anybody know if the featured singer on it is Lorde? Because she sounds just like her! Anyways, onto the monthly playlist!
