Hello!

We start our adventure on Wednesday, we were supposed to have like a spa day with all of the bridesmaids but ultimately decided against that but Blondie did came to the house so dad could do her nails. He’s been doing nails since she was competing in beauty pageants! I went first and after spending about an hour on just trying to remove the old polish on my toes, he pulled out the clippers. For anybody who doesn’t know, I’m terrified of the clippers, like I break out in sweats that’s how bad my anxiety gets whenever they’re around. Anyways, I managed to tick off my dad enough that my mom had to paint both my finger and toe nails!

I hardly ever get my finger nails done, and now I know why. I had to smell nail polish for like two days straight! Every time I tried to put on my blanket at night, the smell would brush up on me! I had a stomachache every time I got a woof of it. I had mom put another shade of pink on my fingers–apparently both Blondie and I had the same baby pink polish and we didn’t even know it! I used this because I thought it would be as close to the shade of my dress and I was right! As far as my toes, Blondie brought down a silver and hot pink and I decided to do the opposite of what she was doing or vice versa. All of my toes are silver with the “ring toe” is just pink!

Poor dad had so much trouble getting the pink on her nails though. She has quite a few dents on her nails of where she’s smashed them at work! According to him, the polish was pretty thick too so he literally spent like five minutes of one hand alone! He didn’t have an issue with the silver thank god! Afterwards, he started on my mom’s nails! My nana had this light orange polish that my aunt grabbed on accident a few days before and we thought it was as close to her dress!

Now I have to talk about hair! Blondie and I chose a similar hairstyle. We both wanted loose curls and our hair braided! Poor Dyllanne had so much trouble trying to figure out how to do the braids, because the picture I gave her didn’t necessarily gave you instructions so she had to wing it. It took her about three tries before she finally cracked the code! Somehow I only needed four bobby pins after all of that! Once at the reception though, I had Jayde put it up in a ponytail because I figure it would all fall onto my plate if I didn’t!

I know I’ve talked about the dresses before, but as I found out through my friend Ania a couple of months ago, I never showed anyone what I looked like in the pink dress as I had to try on the ones in red and blue! Blondie bought me some fabric tape because my strap and around my right side were very loose, so we had to make sure that nothing came out. One of the bridesmaid’s Alli actually had to add another strip before we went out to do pictures because the one on my right side was coming off! The length was another thing. I was worried that if we went higher on the sizes that the length would get longer as well, because I wanted a short dress. Thankfully everything went fine and I had my “short” dress even if the ends were at my ankles! I’ve shared what Blondie’s wedding dress looked like back in January of 2016, but she had quite a few alterations done to it but the structure is still the same but it fit her a lot better than that first time!

As far as dad, Brandon and the rest of the groomsmen they had a silver tux with pink bow ties and vest and wore brown shoes, which at first nobody liked until you saw all of it on together and then it made the outfit that much better! And yes, my dad wore his gray bandana to walk her down the aisle. He honestly wanted to shave everything but Blondie said no! Hell, we all said no!

The next post(s) should be about the wedding itself, so keep an eye out of it!

OOTD: Faux Blue Jeans!

Happy Monday!

Yesterday on Twitter I made the announcement that I wasn’t going to post this today because I wasn’t feeling good but then later on I realized that on Saturday I celebrated 6 years of blogging on here and I had no post for it… Even I’m a little disappointed with myself!

Last Friday, my mom and I took a trip to see my nana. I hadn’t been able to hang out with her like one-on-one since the end of April, so we’ve been needing some time to chitchat. It was a lovely visit with even better weather! So I was able to do another OOTD but since I’ve stopped publishing on the weekends, you’ve had to wait a bit to see my outfit! In my last one, I mentioned that I had another pair of capris to show off and earlier in the week I went back to Walmart and purchased two shirts this time!

I’ll go from top to bottom. I got another superhero shirt! It is gray with various different superheros on the front with the word “Marvel” in big, bold, white letters that you cannot see thanks to my arms! I think I just buy these hoping to have at least one X-Men on it, but I don’t think I got lucky here. Honestly, the only ones I recognize on the entire shirt is Iron Man and Thor. I was really struggling to figure them out, there was no asking my mom. Apparently she can’t tell between “green” and “yellow”! Oh, in case anybody’s counting, this is my third Marvel shirt!

Now about my pants! The day we found these, I was a bit dumbfounded because I’ve had leggings that looked like jeans before. They were tight and the pattern was made so it looked like they’ve been worn forever and you had torn it to pieces! The difference was it was easy to put on and remove which is great for any wheelchair user! Unfortunately, they did have one downfall, the material use was rough and I didn’t actually wear them very much!

These are completely and 100% different as they are smooth to the touch on both top and underneath! They sort of remind me of “basketball pants” as my mom and I called them back in the day! They are sleek and soft, which is awesome for my legs! They retain heat just like regular jeans! They look like jeans and that’s what seems to freak my mom and I out, like where were these when I was in middle school?! My only negative thought about it is they are not skinny on my calves but hopefully I’ll find some others that are snug around that area!

What do you think of my outfit of the day? Yay or nay? What do you think of faux clothing garments, like jeans? Do you think they can become a thing?

OOTD: Gray + Pink

18386789_10202903824154709_1940584092_n

Howdy!

I have been dying to do this outfit post for like three weeks! Our weather has been jacked up lately, in four days alone we got over 8 inches of rain! Thank god for my patience! On the day I wore this, my mom had mentioned like the day before that the temperature was going to be around 80 degrees and that instantly made me happy, because that meant that it should be around the upper 60’s in the morning, appose to the previous mornings of visiting my nana where it’s been so chilly! I’ve had to go back to wearing both my shawl and socks 😦

Technically the whole outfit is new, I haven’t been able to wear this shirt yet. It is just a plain gray shirt, so there’s nothing funny or cute written on it like everybody’s used to seeing me in, but it’s still nice though! My only negative note about it is the fact that the neckline is huge! It completely falls off my shoulder but that’s happened so much in my lifetime that I’m not really bothered by it anymore. My parents are a totally different story, which is the reason the pictures I have of it look halfway decent because my mom fixed the shoulder beforehand! If I remember correctly, I think the shirt was like $3.50 or around that price. I don’t remember if it was on clarence.

Now this is the part that I’ve been really excited about, because recently not only did I buy a summer dress for my sister’s Bridal Shower coming up this month, I also bought myself some new capris! I have a love/hate relationship with these types of pants mostly because I’m expecting them to cut off around my knees or at least the edges of them but majority of the time they come up to my shins. Only a small fraction of my skinny legs are exposed which is fine! The hole for legs is a little air-y but I think it makes them look fun! They actually fit me very well, they’re not pushing into my stomach or back yet, so that’s a good sign!

The main reason why I bought them were because they looked so spring-y and you know how much I love anything floral. I’m really trying to buy more bright colored clothes lately and I’m pretty sure this is a good start into the late spring or early summer season! I really love the design, the different shades of greens and pinks together. The roses are so pretty! I love the baby blue in the background color, it just catches your eye more than the pink does I think. Despite the shortness, they look very casual but yet professional looking too!

What do you think of this OOTD? Yay or nay? What is your favorite casual outfit?

OOTD: Oh, Deer!

16640847_10202568140962839_2023995670131552378_n

Howdy!

Today I have another outfit of the day, but I wanted to mention that I wore it on Friday, I just wasn’t able to get the pictures right away to publish it over the weekend.

As I mentioned in my V-Day OOTD I went shopping and managed to buy more colorful clothes, mostly in the T-shirt department. I really love my black clothing and everything, but unfortunately most of the tops I own doesn’t go with my bright and crazy leggings so somehow I managed to buy probably seven tops that do not have a shade of black on them! I did buy one gray and two black and white tops, but you’ll see soon the only reason I bought those last two were because they go with my personality really well!

I guess since we’re already on the subject, we can start on the shirt which is a simple tee in a pale shade of yellow. I don’t really care for pastel colors, but I do like a mint and nice yellow like this. The day I wore this, my mom wore her pink top, and we looked like a couple of Easter eggs! I think it’s a nice color though, it’s not in your face yellow, it’s a very sweet and gentle color.

I think since because this is just a basic top, it was cheaper than the “Love” shirt I put up last week. They were also on sale too, which was the real reason why I came home with five different shirts. I’m pretty sure they were all $3 each and that is really good. I originally had another shirt that I wanted to wear with these pants I’m about to talk about in a minute, but I lost to both my mom and sister. My dad was on my side but beer was involved so his answer was invalided.

Anyways, the leggings were the first thing I saw when we got into the section and I fell in love with them instantly. You guys know I love my Aztec designs, so this one is no different except it has little deer and birdcage images with the normal shapes throughout, but the background is a solid black and it has a rainbow ombre of bold colors from the waist to the ankles.

Everybody that I was around that day, seemed to really like them and think they were from another brand that has become sort of popular recently, called LaRue but they’re from Wal-Mart instead. These were just $4 and that is a LOT better than some places especially LaRue’s prices as I was told! I know a lot of people have opinions about Wal-Mart’s leggings that they have a little bit of a history of tearing while in the wash, but I’ve never had any issues with them and majority of the leggings in my drawer is from there!

I also wore my shawl that morning since I had an early day at physical therapy and it was pretty chilly! I even had to wear a pair of socks, they weren’t anything fancy though! Just plan black socks that I feel shrunk while in the washer because my mom was having issues putting them on me and my nana almost took off my left foot trying to remove it when I got to her house!

So what do you think of this outfit? Yay or nay?

OOTD: Birthday Chic

14947384_10202126707847287_344197281499048573_n

Howdy!

Yeah, so this year hasn’t been a good one for my “outfits of the day” posts unfortunately! My mom and I really need to go through my closet and see what does work together, even though we already know the answer to that question; hardly anything I own goes together.

We did go through my pant drawers to see what all still fits me and what I wanted to wear. One bad thing was I had to let go of my favorite pair of jeans… I feel like I kept them just in case my mom would put me in them although I doubt my hips would have ever let that happen. The only reason why we still haven’t went through my actual closet is because she has to stand on top of my bed and I have a lot more shirts than bottoms too! I don’t know how that happens honestly!

In today’s OOTD post though, we found a cardigan in the middle of my closet, it even had the price tag on it too! It’s from Charlotte Russe, my mom and I think I got it from Christmas last year and we just forgot I had it. It is a pretty cardigan too! I’d say it’s more of a darker gray and it has an added detail at the sleeves: ruffles! You can’t necessarily see them on my arms but they were there! It’s long, so it hangs down and as my mom was pushing me around, she kept saying I had a tail because of the extra material hanging out in the back! I wore my skull tank top underneath it, because you know I can’t celebrate my birthday without some skulls popping into my outfit sometime! As far as my pants, my mom put me in my black and white plaid bottoms, they’re not heavy which I like the most about them. They’re nice and soft inside and out. They make me look much more sophisticated than I think!

Oh, I also decided to wear some jewelry too! I know I hardly wear my bracelets and necklaces but I felt like I needed something to finish off the whole outfit. The original necklace I wanted to wear didn’t want to unhook and I was really sad about that, but my mom exchanged it with my “Meghan” necklace she found by chance several years ago. One thing that I love about it (besides the fact it has my name spelled the right way), is that it’s on a shorter chain! The first one is super long, it’s beautiful but it goes down to my right hand which as you can see from the pictures below, that’s a large space in between!

I got lucky this year because there’s always a 50/50 chance that it could rain or storm, so I’m usually weary about what I should wear because I know by the end of the day, I’ll be thinking in my head “well, this was a bad idea to wear this!” Thankfully this was not one of those days! It was a perfect autumn day! It wasn’t cold or too warm; our trees are really starting to lose their leaves around town and it felt so good that I wore something very lightweight on accident and I was surprised after decorating cupcakes that the ends of my pants didn’t turn blue either!!

What do you think of my outfit? Yay or nay?
