Tune Tuesday | Italy 2016

Howdy!

So we’re back with another week and I am bringing back a country from the first year I did these posts! Italy is a place that I rarely find music from anymore, which really sucks because at one point they (and probably still do) had a good opera scene!

Speaking of opera, the best way to start out this post is by talking about a power symphonic metal band called Sipario. They’ve been together since 2007 by vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist Daniele Tari. He shares the reins with fellow vocalist Maeg Reheena. They’re most recent album release is a concept album called “Eclipse Of Sorrow” which came out last May of this year!

The last one I have to talk about is Benny Benassi. Yeah, you’re probably heard of him. Fellow artist Skrillex put his song “Cinema” featuring Gary Go on the map four or five years ago, which in a way doesn’t seem that long ago! It’s basically the song that made me fall in love with Skrillex, well it was one of them! Anyways, Benny has recently had a new hit on his hands featuring Chris Brown with the song “Paradise” another party/summer anthem? Who knows!

Do you know any other Italian acts that you think I should check out? Let me know!

So were onto Italy, now I’ve got to say that even though Italy has a rich city and is full of history, it’s also one of the few countries that I’d like to see last of my life only because there’s not much I am fond of, besides of the music scene. Something I’ve found in the last few years is that Italy has a hefty amount of operas and opera singers. One of the singers that I have selected, along with her band, is a in school for opera and performs all kinds of songs. Something you might not know is that the voice of Snow White in the Disney movie of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Adriana Caselotti, her sister Louise was a vocal coach for a famous opera singer by the name of Maria Callas for two years. Now how I got into this country’s music scene was when I first got into the rock scene, I found the band Lacuna Coil and ever since I’ve been hooked to their music. Sadly, I’m not really a fan of their new album but I am addicted to their album Dark Adrenaline. Do you like any Italian singers or bands? What are your favorite songs?

When In Rome: Movie Review

I just got done watching When In Rome. I was in a movie mood and it was the only movie on our movie channels that sounded interesting. I’m not much of a “chick flick” kind of girl. Not into romance, but I love comedy. Josh Duhamel is just cute, so that’s the other reason why I watched it. I like Kristen Bell too. She’s really good and funny at times.

This movie was funny, and very romantic. I’ve always heard Paris, France was the most romantic place in the world. I guess, Italy is second in line. Kristen Bell’s character kind of reminded of myself and how I think of love. Don’t really like it, or believe it. It seems like there’s nobody in this world for me. After everybody tells me that there is somebody out there. I roll my eyes. I’m afraid to trust a man and I think I just refuse to fall in love because I don’t want my heart-broken.

Can I find myself in Italy, drunk, and talking to a statue in a fountain? No way! Especially if I took four coins from it with those consequences. Too creepy for me. I would buy a mini spray bottle of mace for myself.  Would I like to find a guy that’s similar to Josh? Oh yes, I think every girl/woman would love to find a guy like him.

All in all, I really loved this movie. I laughed my ass off on some parts. Josh’s character really makes me wish al guys were sensitive, kind, lovable, and hilarious. If I found a guy with all these charactertics I’d be set to go with life. Oh, maybe I should “open up to love” like Beth’s father said to her at the beginning of the movie. If I could do that I probably wouldn’t be so sad all the time.
