Vloggers That I Love #4

I am so happy that I brought this series back because it seems everybody has been enjoying the last one a lot, so I figured it was time to come back for another post. This time we will be talking about family orientated YouTube channels. I have been loving these types of channels mostly because even though it’s usually a small fraction of their lives being recorded for us, they’re always so fun and interesting. I really look forward to a new vlog every week!

Now as much as this will be discussing the family side of these people, I really picked them for the fact that they’re all mothers but you get to see their interests in various things than besides their children. I was going to only list two for this post to keep up with my list, but I thought the last one fits better with this post than having to give it to another theme. Here are the channels that I think you should check out next!

Natalie Bennett | lifestyle + motherhood

Natalie has a second channels that includes her husband an their whole families. However, for this post, we are only highlighting her main channel. There are similarities to both of them as the kids: Liam, Judah, and Hailey are featured in several of her videos. I mean, you can’t expect her to turn off that part of her life. She does a lot of fun videos that include them right into the theme, like holidays, homeschooling, food, and even her daily routines.

As far as the lifestyle part, the term itself means “anything goes” so she does talk about beauty, fashion, health, and God. She’s had some issues with her health for the past few years, that involves her stomach, mostly it’s her GI tract and the woman has had a lot of changes in her diet between having to go both vegan and gluten-free at the same time. I mean, that in general is usually a choice you make on your own, but for some people it was recommended by your doctors. We haven’t had a proper update about her progress in a while so I hope she is doing better!

One of the things that I was surprised I wasn’t turned off about was the fact that both channels talk about their relationships with God. They do not shove it down your throat, but it does come up quite a bit in their vlogs. If you watch her morning routine video, you get a piece of it as she likes to take time out in the mornings to read sections of the Bible and incorporate it into her outlook of the day. I think because she has such a soft voice that whenever she does talk about her religion, it’s almost comforting and the fact that the kids want to learn about it is really cute too!

Megan Fox Unlocked | millennial, Mennonite & mom.

Now, if you’re thinking the actress Megan Fox made one heck of a life change, you’re wrong! This Megan Fox was born as a Mennonite in Pennsylvania. She lives a basically normal life, as she is a wife and mother of two: Evonne and Fletcher.

When I found this channel, I was a bit stunned but I really feel like I wasn’t the only one that has discovered her in the recent year or so! She has a whole video talking about others assumptions of what it is to be a Mennonite. It really did help at figuring out her way of life. For the most part, I’ve been around the Amish community, but hadn’t met anyone as a Mennonite until 2016. There are differences between the two, so before you go all judgmental, you need to really see her channel for yourself.

In a lot of ways, Megan and Natalie have a lot in common than besides their views in religion and motherhood, Megan also has a really nice voice. She doesn’t talk too fast or too quiet. She just seems like she wants to be your friend really, as she’ll give you some great tips about various things, such as decorating. I have grown to love those types of videos in the last month or so! She loves fashion, and the fact that she knows how to sew, she likes to make a lot of her own skirts and dresses, and even some household items like curtains too!

SparklyFamilyVlogs | teen parents of 3 living in Hawaii

The final YouTube family I love to watch is SparklyFamilyVlogs! Liola and her husband Na’ia are in their early twenties, parents to three beautiful, blond babies: twin boys Kekai and Koda, who have to be around four and daughter Everleigh who is under the age of two I think. They all live in Hawaii. Liola is a stay-at-home mom. They are basically homeschooling the children and they all live a vegan lifestyle.

How I managed to find them was interesting, because I think I was watching a vlog about a vegan dish and their newest video was on my right side, calling to me basically! I clicked it and was immediately curious about one of their sons, because they were running around behind their mama Liola, I wasn’t able to get a good look at the front of this child but I could see a familiar feature of the shoulders. They looked exactly like mine!

Little Koda has Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congentia too. No, I haven’t messaged them yet, I want to, but I don’t to overstep any boundaries so I’m still thinking about my approach before I go making a mess of myself! One of the reasons why I love watching their videos is because of him. He is so brave and living life to the fullest. Actually, the vlog I watched showed him trying to climb a tree with his brother. Koda can walk, he just can’t extend his arms, they’re bent at the elbow like mine. So, the fact that he basically walked on the bottom part of the tree was good enough for him. He was just excited to get that far I think! Liola is very nervous about him and how she’ll have to explain the differences and struggles to him and his siblings as they get older, but I think she and Na’ia will be just fine in the long run.

Before I go, I wanted to say that I didn’t think all of these families had more things than one in common with each other! I knew about the homeschooling and religion parts but it’s crazy to see it all written out in front of me! I know what I like, and that is an authentic sense of family even if it is on YouTube. They’re not bragging about the money that they could be gaining with their sponsored items, every vlog is like you’re hanging out with your best friend and since I can’t physically get out to be with my friends, this is enough for me!

Are you a fan of family YouTube channels? Do you watch any of the ones I mentioned above? If you have a favorite, please share them with me in the comments!

End Of Paradise.

Getting myself to talk about Blondie and Batman’s last days in Hawaii is a little bittersweet for me too, because I’ve grown to love talking about their trip for two weeks. I literally devoted a whole week to writing four huge posts of their moments there! You’ve been probably wondering why I decided to write it for them right? Well, for starters, this isn’t the first time I’ve written about my sister’s adventures. I’ve done quite a few in the last two or three years! She doesn’t mind it, I think she likes it too! It’s fun for me and in the past, I’ve edited the pictures to look cool and be brighter, but for these pictures they looked so beautiful the way they were that I just kept them the same! I did fix up the ones with their faces in it and never put the ones with his cousin and grandmother out of respect in case they didn’t want to have their faces on my blog. I also know that between the two of them they’ve been going back to their working schedules and Blondie has her classes too! So I took the reign of writing each post out like if she had a blog herself. Trust me, I’ve been trying to get her to create one but she never has time!

She spent her last days of adventures in Kauai. On this day, they were supposed to go zip lining and then to a luau. Well, from what I was told after going down 105 ft in the water and then over 10,000 ft up in the air, Blondie’s anxieties were all crazy and she ended up having an anxiety attack just before going up and doing the zip lining. They still went to the luau later on that afternoon. She got a lot of pictures out there. She told our nana that she didn’t want to take her phone up where they were doing the zip lining in case she dropped her phone you know? So this was her make up for it! She got to ride on a train, which almost made me cry because our papaw has not only been to Hawaii but also LOVES trains! She saw fire breathers and she even shared on Twitter that she got up on stage and danced in front of everybody! That’s something she never does! You have to tickle her just to get her to sing out loud!

They went on one last adventure to the Jurassic Falls. The first Jurassic Park film is set in Costa Rica but apparently parts of it was filmed in Hawaii. They went on one last helicopter ride around different sections of Kauai. The Manawaipuna Falls was part of the air tour and it was part of the first Jurassic Park movie. They even got to land in the same spot! They got a nice picture of them standing directly below the falls! Looks very majestic! On Friday, they were supposed to fly out pretty late our time and get home sometime by Saturday afternoon, but they had a 12 hour delay because they had to exchange a wheel of the plane and after arriving in Dallas, they found out they missed their flight! They didn’t get home until like six ish Sunday evening! They brought souvenirs for everybody! I got a Tiki man and my little purple shoe that has little gems around both sides. Apparently it was $40! I wasn’t exactly thrilled about that but it kind of screams me so I’ll let it go! When they got back, they came into my room and showed me the things they got me! I asked for a hug from both of them, I’ve never hugged Batman before and he gave me a better hug than my sister! He gave me a real hug not some puny thing that everybody seems to give me because they think I’m fragile!

So now I’m done and I’m sad. I really enjoyed writing about Hawaii and figuring out what to include in the posts! Hope you guys enjoyed each post like I did! Is Hawaii now on your next summer vacation list?

Hilo & Kona!

They’ve been to Oahu, Pearl Harbor, and Maui. What’s next?

Luckily, for you guys after a few days of not knowing the schedule of where they were headed to next, I finally asked her. She woke up on Tuesday morning in the beautiful island of Hilo and she posted a posted a picture with a full rainbow! Exactly the way you want to start your day in a new place! Within five minutes after seeing that picture, Blondie had uploaded some of her morning walking around a very interesting beach and seeing more gorgeous waterfalls! This time she got great ones of the four of them in front of the gate and one that is an areal picture of the waterfall and the ridge of lively woods around it. So vibrant! While there, she got a few shots of a lazy turtle. A little bit about Punaluu Black Sand Beach, the first thought I had been “must be like that from the ash of exploding volcanoes!” And I was right! The sand is black, making it one of the most unique beaches that I’ve seen!

Later on that day, still exploring the area, they went to the National Volcanoes Park. A few months ago, I was watching a show talking about this park and the weird things that’s been happening to people who visit there. Apparently there’s UFOs flying over that place and they’re luring people there and killing them! Okay, so that’s not the most ideal thing to talk about on this post! My bad! They got to see their first volcano of their Hawaiian trip! This was my question at the beginning, where they going to see one? I mean you can’t go to an island made up of volcanoes without at least seeing one of them! They got to see I think two of them from what another picture she took of their tour around, it’s a giant hole with a metal-like rail around it and it had steam coming up from inside this massive opening! They also went to see the Thurston Lava Tube which is cave that was form from a large lava flow. From research, it is a 500 year old cave and the native name is Nahuku! It looks so freaking cool!! I was even a little envious after looking through the pictures!

They went to a more milder place that doesn’t involve molten lava at all! They went to a garden, called Akatsuka Orchid Garden. It is an orchid nursery, which sounds so cute! It is located on the way to the National Volcanoes Park. They have over 1,000 orchids and tropical plants. When I was in school, any time we were forced to watch a movie that we may or may not get quizzed on later I actually tried to watch it. In Biology, we watched different videos about plants and flowers to show how each one grows and why bees and birds go for the nectar inside of them. I don’t remember any of the videos from the Hawaiian plants at all! So seeing these were a bit of a surprise for me, especially that big red one! Sometimes I have a dirty mind that’s all I will say about that!

The next day they went to Kaulia-Kona pier. If you remember from either the last post or Going On a Little Cruise I talked about the things that my sister got to select to do in their stay of Hawaii. Both activities were on her list and I have to say I’m still shocked that these are hers! They started their day exploring the Kona and went inside a submarine! A 105 ft drop into the ocean they went looking at sunken ships and little fishies roaming around the blue murky waters. After coming back to land, they went over 10,000 ft up in the air over a damn volcano! And you thought you were brave!  As much as I love volcanoes, I doubt I’d ever have this on my list to do! It’s not even on my bucket list. Now the submarine thing is, but only to see the Titanic though! This was cool too! If you had just went into the ocean in a submarine and then went up in the air what would be the ideal thing to do to stop the rush? Apparently these four thought playing a little putt putt would be excellent so that’s how they ended their adventures there!

Got my information from the Go Hawaii website!

Going For A Little Cruise!

And they’re off!!!

They set sail on their cruise on July 11th, after spending a total of two days in Oahu. They boarded the massive ship called the Pride Of America and she took some pictures of inside their room and outside on the deck. I didn’t know this beforehand, but the cruise is basically taking them around to the other islands of Hawaii. The first place they went to was Maui. They didn’t go anywhere but walk around the mall. The first thing I thought of as my mom was reading off her text for her was “there’s a mall on the ship?!?!” Just so everybody knows, there’s not. I was having a slow moment there. We also found out that she has sucky signal service on the boat. That night was to be their “date night” and she finally wore her polka dot dress! Unfortunately, she didn’t post a full length picture of herself with it on. While out at dinner, apparently they went exploring on the boat in the dark because there were a lot of pictures of inside part of the Skyline restaurant they went to and of the different pools on board.

According to Blondie inside the text, they all got to pick out four different things to do on this trip. She wanted to see Pearl Harbor, see the Polynesian fire dancers, go in a submarine, and I think go flying in a helicopter to see a volcano! Seems pretty cool to me! I think she was a little fearless in picking at least two of these activities out. After getting to Maui, the next day they went exploring through the Hana Highway, seeing waterfalls and lots of different looking trees! Once she got back on the ship, she took more pictures of the ocean while on board and even took video for the rest of us and somebody left a comment saying she needed to have Titanic music playing along. Why is it whenever anybody’s on a damn ship, everybody wants to use Titanic as the blunt of a joke? Anyways, this time when you wore one of her dresses, she got a full length picture! This is one of my favorite dresses she’s got right now! And I think she and Batman planned their outfits to match, this was the first time I noticed it! My mom said she noticed it like two days before and I was like, “oh!” they are weird!

Next post is of her adventures at both Hilo and Kona!

Pearl Harbor

I wanted to start this post out differently from my other posts.

On December 7th 1941, Pearl Harbor (which is located in Oahu, HI) was bombed by Japanese planes. The attack killed over 2,000 people leaving a 1,000 wounded. They lost ships and aircrafts during the attack, which lead to a memorial to be built directly above one of the battleships called USS Arizona. In some of the pictures down below, are from inside the memorial. There’s a room that is dedicated to the fallen on USS Arizona, a large wall made up of names of both Marines and sailors on board the ship.

Before Blondie started her day walking around Pearl Harbor, she visited with some birdies! She’s having all sorts of luck finding birds in Hawaii. First it was the chickens and now it’s parrots! My sister, Batman, his grandma and cousin went to visit and Blondie told me the night before, that this was what she was most looking forward to throughout the whole trip. I asked her if she cried while walking around the place, she told me no, but she almost did. She also said it was pretty powerful and makes you think and what pissed her off more was that people burn our flags and disrespect our country. They visit the “Punch Bowl” cemetery, which is short for National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific and King Kamehameha’s palace.  She got a bunch of pictures of Oahu away from the resort that they were staying at, which are just too gorgeous!

Since she’s been home, she’s been on a very big history kick and every person that has fought for our freedom, recent and older, get a handshake and a thanks whenever she’s out. The next post will be about her time on the C-R-U-I-S-E!
