Photo Diary | Spring/Summer

Hello!

The last time I did a photo diary was in 2017, so three years of no cat pictures, which is really sad considering these cats are very well loved by almost everyone.

In that time, my nana had just moved up north so my ability to upload any photos at all from my camera(s) was pretty much over. A part of me was okay with it, I thought I could just live with creating and reusing old pictures for my banners. If I did want to take a picture of something, I would have my mom and/or sister do it for me, but as time went on, I really began to get the itch to do it myself again. For most people they can whip out their phones and take as many photos as they want, but for me, it can be a bit of a production in itself. I have a system and it’s just easier for me to do it then to depend on others.

Lots of things have happened since the last post. I became an aunt for the first time and we got a new house, this spring, we finally got our side porch and ramp put together. I love being outside again. I’m pretty sure the cats are very happy to see my smiling face too! Unfortunately, the ramp isn’t quite finished yet so I still haven’t use my “rocket” chair to sit outside, which is fine with me because while I sit in the blue chair, I am able to read my books out there and be at a comfortable level with our cats at the same time.

Another good thing about the porch itself is that, we get to do pumpkins again! I tried my best to bring them back last year, but my mom wasn’t having it! For some odd reason, she thinks we will mess up the floors… The last time we did them, my sister was in the early stages of her pregnancy so this will be the first year with Nolan! Hopefully it will become an annual tradition, especially since next month the three of them (plus their animals!) will be moving into the neighborhood. Whoohoo! I have collected a lot of fun DIY/craft stuff on Pinterest for Nolan and I to do together and I think we will be able to form a closer bond and we will be able to unleash our creativity too!

I think it is now time to share some pictures with you, now that I have given you a “mini” life lately update so let’s bring on the cats!

Wow!

I may have to bring this series back, especially if I continue to take as many pictures as I did, but the funny part about this is that, this is just a fraction of what I took at the end of April to early June!

So, I wanted to come up and explain who everyone is, because I might have a few more people that visit my blog and they may not know anybody’s names. We have a total of nine cats, but the ones that are camera friendly are: Oscar, Bootsie, Tavis, Bear-Bear, Grumpy, and Felix aka Fifi. For the most part, when I go outside, Oscar and Botsie are the most excited, because they generally love the attention. Bear-Bear and Tavis are just starting to open up to me and hang out so that’s been a fun accomplishment! Grumpy is still very much a lovebug but it took him a lot longer to accept being touched by anyone that isn’t mom.

I wanted to tell you something absolutely hilarious before I go! My mom got the idea of me bringing out my books so if the cats were to leave me and beg at our back door, I could stay outside longer and not have to depend on anyone’s company. This was the greatest idea ever! I think it is the reason why I was able to finish my reading challenge sooner than we expected to! Now onto the funny part of this story. In the beginning, my mom would bring out this bench so I could see the book better, but everytime I didn’t go into my position fast enough, our cat Felix would literally make himself comfortable and get on top of the bench and book itself, and take a little nap!

Do you need proof? Well, this is him sitting on and without the bench itself and just hanging out on my book. Thank god he’s adorable or else, this would be really annoying! I guess this is the joy of having cats… Oh, one good thing, he’s the only one who does it!

Okay, I think I am officially done with this post. If you think I should do a post like this every month, please let me know because I can definitely get back into a routine with it. And once I am able to get around with the “rocket” chair, I will be able to take pictures of other things than the cats so that could be something to look forward to in the future.

Do you have any cats? If you do, how many and what are their names? I would love to know more about them!

73 Questions.

anne

Howdy!

If anybody goes on YouTube on a regular basis and most of us do; you’re probably familiar with seeing Vogue Magazine’s 73 Questions videos. If not, the magazine asks different celebrities a total of seventy-three questions to answer and they’ll film the answers on the spot and put it on their YT channel. I’ve seen the many videos, but I will admit that I have not watched a single one!

I’m actually surprised that I’ve only seen one blogger post anything about the dreaded questions. I figured that there would be more since we have a lot of both beauty and fashion bloggers out there, I thought they’d kind of jump on that bandwagon kind of quickly! Anyways, the one person who was brave enough to do is BlogAlongWithMe. She might’ve inspired a few other people to take up the challenge and publish their answers as well!

Let’s get started with the questions!

1. What country in the world would you love to visit?

Apparently, I can’t list just one even though everybody would think otherwise. England, Poland, Netherlands, Ireland and France. All in that order too!

2. Name one thing you can’t live without?

Music.

3. What’s one thing you like to have with you everyday?

Camera and a notepad with a pen.

4. What’s one cause that is dear to you heart?

Ohh, I’d say anything that has anything to do with children and teens with physical disabilities.

5. What’s your favourite colour?

Purple.

6. Who’s the funniest person you know?

I’ve got a lot of funny people in my family, but I’d probably say my Uncle David and cousin Chris. God! It’s a bad idea to get stuck in a room with them together because there’s no filter between them! They’re fun though.

7. Who would make you most starstruck?

I don’t know, I think meeting any celebrity that you really like would make you starstruck. However, if I’d ever met one of the royals (British or Swedish) I’d probably faint right in front of them.

8. What’s your favorite movie?

You know, out of all of the movie posts I’ve done lately, I have yet to actually answer that question. It’s so difficult to pin point a favorite film.

9. Favorite movie in the past five years?

And this one doesn’t help either! It’s like a three way tie with Brooklyn, The Red Violin (even though it came out in 96, I just watched it last year!) and The Theory Of Everything.

10. A book you plan on reading?

If I don’t decide to dive back into the Dan Brown books, I might get City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

11. Favorite TV show that’s currently on?

Supergirl and Victoria.

12. On a scale of one to ten how excited are you about life right now?

6.

13. Twitter or Instagram?

14. What’s your favorite food?

I couldn’t decide between broccoli with ranch dip and Steak n Shake’s cheese fries. ♥

15. Least favorite food?

Mashed Potatoes. 😦

16. What do you love on your pizza?

Sausage and Pepperoni with extra cheese!

17. Favorite drink?

Chocolate milk.

18. Favorite dessert?

Ice cream and cupcakes.

19. Coffee or tea?

Neither.

20. What’s your favorite band?

Oh boy, that’s another hard question. Within Temptation or Celtic Woman. Can they be included?

21. Favorite solo artist?

Christina Aguilera.

22. Favorite song?

I am loving both Love So Soft by Kelly Clarkson, Him & I by G-Eazy featuring Halsey, and Havana by Camila Cabello at the moment!

Celtic Woman, no joke!

23. If you could master one instrument, what would it be?

Harp.

I’ve always loved sleeves, but since my arms are so tiny that I’m so worried that whatever design I’d chose wouldn’t look as good as it does in my head.

25. Dogs or cats?

I like both, but cats.

26. Best gift you’ve ever received?

Speakers.

27. Best gift you’ve ever given?

I like making gifts, but I did purchase Christmas gifts this year for my family so that worked too!

28. Last gift you gave a friend?

I think it was a fuzzy poster that I had done, but that was years ago so!

40. Who was the last person you sent a text to?

I don’t remember, I don’t get very many of those either.

41. A sport you wish you could play?

43. Favorite season?

I’ve always been a fan of fall, it symbolizes a lot of things for me.

44. Three people alive or dead that you would like to have dinner with?

King Richard III only to ask him about how he managed to get through life as a soldier and king while having Scoliosis. I feel we’d have fun comparing stories throughout the many centuries between us!

I’d also like to have an interview with King Henry VIII. I’d definitely yell at him for beheading Anne Boleyn and for not putting his oldest sister Princess Margaret’s line in succession after the deaths of his children, because then Mary, Queen of Scots wouldn’t have to be killed by her cousin, Queen Elizabeth. She definitely didn’t want to do that, she was forced into it by her councilors.

And lastly, I’d like to have dinner with my papaw again. We’d get pizza from Fish Hut and watch Butler basketball on TV. 🙂

45. Where were you born?

In a hospital 🙂

46. What is the farthest you have been from home?

I’ve been to Florida and that’s definitely far away, since when we went to Disney World in the middle of March, it was sunny and warm with the one day full of rain on Wednesday, but by Thursday it had snowed and ice and everybody was so jealous at us; school was actually cancelled those last two days before Spring Break!

47. Lipstick or lip gloss?

Matte lipstick, even though I don’t wear it. I think it’s beautiful on other ladies!

I prefer air dry.

65. What was the best thing to happen you this month?

I got over the flu.

66. What is something that recently moved you?

Ohh, Zoella’s chat in her first vlog about plans for the year! She discussed how much hard it takes to be a full time blogger and I think nobody will truly understand the lifestyle of being a blogger especially one that can’t travel and do a lot of things that other people can do in the same niche. We disabled bloggers are a total different group, but we’re strong and know we can be just as powerful as everybody else in the blog industry.

67. If you could teach one subject in school what would it be

Oh, I don’t know I loved art, novels (we read four books in a semester, but it should been a whole year course!), and creative writing!

68. Top 3 style icons?

72. What is an important life lesson for someone to learn?

Pick your battles. Not everything deserves a reaction, bite your tongue if you have to and move on from the situation.

73. What do you do on rainy days?

Blog my life away or lay in bed all day long.

And that’s it!

Somehow I managed to complete this in two days and it was really, really fun to answer all of these questions! I’m really sorry that I didn’t remove the “u” in some of the words, but between adding the bold and answering each question, I didn’t even want to be bothered with that!

Join Me For #Blogoween!

Untitled

Hi 🙂

So I have been thinking a lot about different things to do in both October and November, mostly October since it’s basically the start of autumn! I have been looking at December and what we bloggers tend to do around that month, which is Blogmas. We blog every day leading up to Christmas. People seem to really enjoy those posts and videos on YouTube, but I am more of a Halloween type of person. So I thought and thought about it, and wondered about creating a “blogmas” type of theme for the month of October?

Thus entered Blogoween.

I am not claiming the name because my luck and some other soul has created it once before and it didn’t get off the ground, because I had never made any connections. It just sort of came to me in the middle of the night like most things do anymore!

So what do you think, does a Blogoween sound appealing to you? As a reminder with Blogmas, you would be doing only 24 days of the month whereas with Blogoween you would be blogging about it for 30 days! Well, that is if you wanted to blog that amount of time. I’m pretty sure I’ll still be blogging for three days, occasionally adding a day or two on the timeline!

If you decide to join in, I thought since can’t do one of those link-ups, we could keep up with each other through social media? I mostly use Twitter, so I thought we could use the hashtag #Blogoween to read other blogs or vlogs, if you’d like to try that out instead, basically do whatever you want with it! I just figured it would be a fun theme for everybody that loves this time of the year more than say Christmas! But let’s face it, Blogmas or Vlogmas are usually the funnest times of the year!

If you are stumped about what to talk about, I will link below some autumn and ‘Halloweenie’ posts I’ve done in the past, if some of you ladies and gents need some more inspiration!

55 Fun Writing Prompts

After this past week, our internet has been off for most of the week and on Wednesday I had remember that I saved a file on my laptop of a bunch of different topics to blog about and even though I couldn’t exactly publish it right away, I did work on a couple and saved them to when our internet decided to come back on. So yesterday, I had one of those thoughts about what if it happens and I want to write a story instead. I went on my Pinterest and looked on Google for different websites, Writing Forward helped a lot. to get some more writing prompts for a case of emergency. After I was finished, I put a tweet on my Twitter right before I went to bed and one of my fellow blogger friends, Talicha J. sent me a tweet this morning asking for me to share them. I went for ones with adventure/sci-fi/personal prompts. Those are usually my favorites and I can express myself fully. I actually worked on one this morning and I already have three pages of it saved on my laptop. The prompt I’m using for that one is a man pulls a gun out on you. 55. And you thought dragons didn’t exist…

Fun Outdoor Activities

When I was kid, going outside to play was a summer/fall thing to do. It was the best thing to do. I still have these memories being at my nana’s house and having fun outside with my sister and our cousins. My mom and nana would sit outside because of Emily and I. Saturdays back then didn’t revolve around pizza and doing computer work. It was a time where the Internet wasn’t that important and being a carefree kid was fun. I still wish I could go back for a Saturday and watch myself have fun just being outside for once.

There was only so much you could do as a kid. Well, for me at least. Chris, Kristi, and Emily could ride bikes and I had this scooter. The scooter was my third way of being mobile. Nobody really liked me being in it while I was outside because one day I found out that the big chunk of concrete was a bit uneven. It was like a mini ramp. Everytime somebody went inside I’d race up to the last step and let go and I’d go for a little joyride in my scooter. If I didn’t stop myself in time I would fall off the sidewalk. I’m not going to lie I wanted to do that every single time. I just didn’t want to get into trouble. Nobody was allowed to go on the street, unless we went walking which is the reason why Kristi and I still love to walk. It gave us a chance to talk and race down the street. Okay, okay, so maybe they didn’t know I was actually racing them. I would always go a little bit faster than the rest of them. They were always so slow, now it’s backwards.

Another thing my sister and I loved to do was blow bubbles. Every summer/fall nana and/or mom would buy us those big jugs of bubble mix at Wal-Mart. Every weekend we’d go outside and I’d blow bubbles. Back then I was still flexible enough I could get my legs behind my head without falling over backwards. I can’t now because of the pins in my hips. Anyways, on days like these. We’d blow bubbles, play with chalk and play in the dirt. I never really liked playing with chalk, not because it was messy, but everytime I’d try to write it would end up very bad. One time I remember my cousin Chris making a semi on the space before the first step on the porch. It actually stayed there for a while. There is a tree right by the porch so the only time the chalk went away was if it rained three days in a row. Playing in the dirt was always fun too. I remember one time digging with nana’s spoons and I was getting deeper and deeper and then I saw this white thing. Emily and I tried really hard to see what it was and when we showed it to mom, she told us it was the pipes to the house. We thought it was a dinosaur bone.
