Howdy!

I have been dying to do this outfit post for like three weeks! Our weather has been jacked up lately, in four days alone we got over 8 inches of rain! Thank god for my patience! On the day I wore this, my mom had mentioned like the day before that the temperature was going to be around 80 degrees and that instantly made me happy, because that meant that it should be around the upper 60’s in the morning, appose to the previous mornings of visiting my nana where it’s been so chilly! I’ve had to go back to wearing both my shawl and socks 😦

Technically the whole outfit is new, I haven’t been able to wear this shirt yet. It is just a plain gray shirt, so there’s nothing funny or cute written on it like everybody’s used to seeing me in, but it’s still nice though! My only negative note about it is the fact that the neckline is huge! It completely falls off my shoulder but that’s happened so much in my lifetime that I’m not really bothered by it anymore. My parents are a totally different story, which is the reason the pictures I have of it look halfway decent because my mom fixed the shoulder beforehand! If I remember correctly, I think the shirt was like $3.50 or around that price. I don’t remember if it was on clarence.

Now this is the part that I’ve been really excited about, because recently not only did I buy a summer dress for my sister’s Bridal Shower coming up this month, I also bought myself some new capris! I have a love/hate relationship with these types of pants mostly because I’m expecting them to cut off around my knees or at least the edges of them but majority of the time they come up to my shins. Only a small fraction of my skinny legs are exposed which is fine! The hole for legs is a little air-y but I think it makes them look fun! They actually fit me very well, they’re not pushing into my stomach or back yet, so that’s a good sign!

The main reason why I bought them were because they looked so spring-y and you know how much I love anything floral. I’m really trying to buy more bright colored clothes lately and I’m pretty sure this is a good start into the late spring or early summer season! I really love the design, the different shades of greens and pinks together. The roses are so pretty! I love the baby blue in the background color, it just catches your eye more than the pink does I think. Despite the shortness, they look very casual but yet professional looking too!

What do you think of this OOTD? Yay or nay? What is your favorite casual outfit?

OOTD: Bossy!

Hi 🙂

I’m back with another outfit of the day! I knew once spring decided to come around that my mom, nana and I would be able to go back to these posts again! I generally love working on them and showing off my style with all of you too!  I know I had mentioned in my previous OOTDs that I was going to start wearing more colorful outfits but you all should know about my love of black by now too! I don’t see the problem of wearing too much at one time!

This shirt is new, it was included into that fairly large shopping spree back in February, it is a regular graphic tee with “Not Bossy, Just Better” written on the front of it. When I saw it on the rack I couldn’t help myself, I had to get it. Something you may not know about me is that I have a strong personality, sometimes people confuse my attitude with being “bossy” but I feel like I am far from that. I just have strong beliefs and don’t like being told certain things, as a disabled woman seeking independence I don’t like when people assume and judge me. I think I can do the things you are able to do, but maybe even better and this is where people get carried away and automatically think I’m stuck up when I’m not. So this is probably my third shirt that I’ve worn that has a true statement about something I truly believe in some way!

This was also around $7 because it has a saying on the front of it. I’m sorry if you have trouble reading it through my hands, that’s the one negative about it, the font is fairly large and my hands take up most of the space on it.

I feel like I’ve worn these pants in a blog post before, but I’m not for sure so I had my mom and nana take them just in case I was wrong!

These are actually pants, not leggings! I don’t have very many of them in my drawers mostly because they’re a little hard to find and fit through my thigh and butt! I’ve always loved these though because the design of the skulls (not even sorry!) have like a black and white sugar skull theme on them. The material is nice and soft, they’re definitely made of cotton because they’re so thick, considering it’s “spring” it sure as hell didn’t feel like it! I was secretly freezing when that picture was taken up top and these were the only part of my body that was nice and toasty. I’ve learned to smile through the cold and hope to God that the sun can warm me up a little, it didn’t happen but hey, we still accomplished our mission!

Unfortunately, I purchases these a few years ago so I don’t remember where we got them nor how much they were, but I’m thinking we got them at Wal-Mart too! I rarely find any skull bottoms anywhere besides Hot Topic! It’s a “once in a blue moon” motion whenever I find something at Wal-Mart! Oh, and don’t even bother asking how many skull leggings this is because even I don’t know!

I also wanted to try out an old hairstyle I modeled as a kid, while in grade school I had really long hair and a month or so before I had my back surgeries we were forced to get it cut short because of the metal halo that would be placed around my head. This was over 14 years ago and this is the first time I’ve had my hair just as long as I did back then. After July, I am getting a hair cut–maybe not a pixie but it will be short again at the end of the summer! I’m semi happy but sad too!

So what do you think of this outfit? Yay or nay? Do you have a shirt that reflects your personality to a T?

OOTD: Decay

006

Hey!

I honestly don’t know how many more of these will be up by the end of the week but I hope you like them! I’ve been enjoying writing each one so that’s a good thing! I apologize again for having to take this picture indoors.

This whole outfit is from one brand! I don’t think that has ever happened before! Well, my Thanksgiving outfit is all from one place but you’ll have to wait to see that one! I’ve talked about the shirt before, it’s white with a picture of a man (don’t know who it is!) in light shades of gray around him like in a frame and it has black lettering of “Without Music Life Would Be A Mistake.” I can no longer find a link for it on the website. I got it last winter for Christmas! It’s probably a medium, but it’s fairly big on me and not at all thick in material. I choose to see the good in that, because then I can sleep in comfortably!

So that’s my top, now about my bottoms! They were purchased last week when I got my Harry Potter shirt! They’re solid black pants with white skulls and pink flowers with green/brown leaves. I’ve been calling them my “decomposing” pants. They just remind me of death, but in a good way if there is such a thing! My mom actually liked these; they’re stretchy around my waist. The sleeves are a bit long, I have to roll them up when I want to use my feet, but they’re not bad. They might turn into a new favorite! Lucky for you, I found a link for these. Click here if you want a pair like mine! They are listed as “leggings” but they don’t look or feel like leggings to me.

OOTD: Bloody Nails

Howdy!

So much for only four posts this week. Every time I feel like I don’t have enough I tend to find something to add later on in the week. You get this one today and two others tomorrow! As for the month of November, I’m still trying to figure out posts to add.. hopefully you’ll like them!

Forgive me, I don’t like taking my pictures while inside houses but since the weather outside continues to get colder if I want to keep doing these types of posts, majority of them will have to be taken indoors. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours at my nana’s house, this is what I wore. The pants you’ve probably seen before. I got these at Charlotte Russe for Christmas last year. The top is from Wal-Mart, it was actually purchased by my sister for herself but unfortunately it doesn’t fit her as she thought it would. My mom hates it because of the wide neckline, so it falls right off my shoulders. I like it though, its comfortable and tight around my arms which is perfect for this weather. Technically this is my first time wearing a sweater for the season! Another feature I like about it is the buttons on the sides of my hands. I like little details whether it’s on my hands or feet, I don’t care.

I also got my toe nails painted too! My nana didn’t want to paint her nails so it was just me this time. I recently purchased a few autumnal nail polishes at Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago. I think I should have went with the orange since it’ll be Halloween tomorrow. I’ve had that “Unbreakable Heart” screaming for me so decided to go with the red. The color looks like deeper in the bottle, but they look pretty for only having one coat on them. I’ve been calling them my bloody nails. If I don’t get to dress up for tomorrow, at least my nails will be done!

What do you think of my outfit and nails?
