Christmas Wishlist

untitledHowdy!

So I’ve decided to do “Blogmas” again and despite the fact that December officially starts in two days, I had to put this post up earlier for my family so if you find some mistakes within the post I apologize in advance!

I’ve actually grown to do my wishlists like this now. The whole banner part still sucks, because of the various picture sizes and all that, but I like being able to figure out what I’d like to have for Christmas and my family doesn’t have to ask my mom a hundred times on what I want for the holidays! I feel like while I was making out the banner alone, I felt like a five year old was making it out because of the amount of kid things I had included or saved on Pinterest.

I’d like to point out that some items on the banner are used as an example, like on the picture below some don’t have links because those are ideas for gifts in that category. I’ve selected a plaid shirt on the picture, doesn’t mean you should only get me plaid shirts, anything works!

1. Celtic Woman - Decade 2. Faded Glory Women's Popover Plaid Shirt 3. Beauty and the Beast DVD 4. e.l.f. Jack Of All Shades Nail Polish Set 5. Keebler's Fudge Stripe Cookies 6. Ferreo Rocher 7. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Pajamas

When January comes, I’m going to be starting on my secret project and I need music that I can listen to that doesn’t require my laptop. I’m going old school, so let’s talk about CDs! I’m looking for something that’ll help me stay productive and instrumentals, new age, and soundtracks/scores are some of my favorites! This is where Celtic Woman comes in, because the “Decade” album being around $40. On the soundtrack side, I like James Horner for the films “Titanic” and “Avatar” a lot! You could also look into artists like Philip Wesley (Transend and Dark Night Of The Soul), Jennifer Thomas (Illumination), Escala (eScala), Lindsey Stirling (Lindsey Stirling and Shatter Me), The Glitch Mob (Drink The Sea), and Bassnectar (Into The Sun).

So I like for more plaid shirts, whether they’re long or short sleeves I don’t care. Right now, I have three that I can still wear but I really like wearing them in the wintertime. I’ve recently figured out that I only have one sweater in my closet right now. It is black and white and covered in skulls but I don’t have any plain sweaters. I still don’t understand how that keeps happening!

We’re moving onto the subject of movies! Now this is where things get kind of weird because I went through the Wal-Mart website and literally had a hayday looking through all of the Disney films. I have a vast amount of Disney classics on my DVR but I am still missing a few others. I’ve been worried that Beauty and the Beast will be going back into the vault soon and I won’t be able to get my copy, so this is like at the highest part of my list in my head! As far as the others, The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, Pocahontas II, and Aladdin and the King Of Theives.¬†

If you didn’t know by now, I have an un-healthy obsession with nail polishes. This ideas kind of came out with my mom, nana, aunt and uncle were doing some Black Friday shopping in our hometown, we were in Dollar General and we were in the gift/Christmas aisle and I literally looked up for a moment and saw these small bags full of different nail polishes and now I want one! I don’t care if they come in a bag or a box, as long as it’s more than one it’s good with me!

Again, this is another section that wasn’t left with a link attached with their numbers because they can be a mixture of things honestly! You know we’re getting older when you start asking Santa for snacks and chocolate! While we were out shopping, I came across two types of cookies I’ve been craving but I wasn’t sure what they were called exactly, so I was glad to finally see them at the store! I do like Fudge Stripe cookies but I also love Iced Oatmeal Cookies. They’re like the all-year round gingerbread cookies, for a good chunk of my life I thought these were gingerbread! On the candy side, I like starburst, sour gummi worms, skittles, dark chocolate, Twix, Butterfinger, and Kit Kats. Don’t ask me to choose between fruity or chocolate because it can’t be done!

And lastly to finish out the clothes area, I really love pajama sets! If you can only find fuzzy pajama bottoms that’ll work too! I love the kiddie themes, like Winnie The Pooh (I already have Eeyore!), Marvel or DC, and Mickey. I’m not really into Star Wars and I can’t wear oneises either!

I tried to keep everything relativity cheap, the only thing that was pricey was the Celtic Woman album, but that is their collection over the last ten years, not counting their newest albums “Destiny” or “Voices Of Angels”, if you feel that is too much money, just purchase “Destiny” instead as that is what I listen to the most right now!

To all of my family, if you’re interested to find out my sizes, ask my mom because Blondie won’t know it either! ūüôā

What’s on your Christmas list this year?¬†

Stashed Away

So the weekend is over once again and we start another week. Am I the only one who thinks this past weekend was slow as hell? I’m not saying this to be mean, but it seemed like it was really slow. I think Saturday was my favorite day. My sister went and hung out with friends that afternoon and spent the night at her friend’s house. So my mom and I had that whole afternoon and half the night together. We lived it up too. My other half of my room is now clean and really spacey. I didn’t know I had this much room on my floor. I remember when I was in school, my floor space was limited by the bed, dresser and all the junk on my floor. I would have to push everything together and hope nothing important was laying there because God knows when I’d find it again. One time, my mom was cleaning my room and it was when I still a Junior too, because she was clearing out my ICP folder and I didn’t know where I could my first semester notes so we put them onto my old¬†tapes on my shelf by my TV. So when my dad went cleaning out that area, he found all those old notes from that day. Don’t worry we threw them away this time. I just didn’t want to throw them out then because I didn’t know if my teacher wanted those notes in our binder at the end of the year. He didn’t and I had them saved. Oh well.

My mom and I found old pictures. Some really old. Baby pictures of myself and preschool pictures that happened to show up in time since they’re of my sister. She’ll be a Senior next year and you need a baby picture for the yearbook. My mom and I have a few lined up for her. Every now and then I think about Shriner’s. It seems like they’re just memories since nobody has seen or know where I could find them. About half of them weren’t married and I only remember one last name. I’ve looked and asked the nurses director at Shriner’s, but nobody knows. We found some of the Halloween pictures of the time I was there. I kind of felt like the old Rose in Titanic looking at the ship underwater after so many years. We found these pictures and they are slightly darker than I remember them being. Kind of like my memories, but you can see faces and clothes. So that’s good I guess. There’s a quote that’ll go with this paragraph. It’s true.

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.”

We switched my clothes from my drawers to my new drawers. Mom let me put the socks and shorts in one of the drawers. In Elementary, I use to know how to fold things pretty well. My third grade teacher gave me this towel that I use to lay/sit on when I’d get on the floor. I use to fold that sucker after everybody would come inside after recess. It’s been several years since then, and I haven’t folded anything until Saturday. I folded up my shorts which I didn’t think we’re going to give me any problems but they did. It was mostly my toes giving me the most problems though. My left foot was getting on my bad side while I was trying to fold them. My mom and I woke up the next morning, wondering where everything was in each drawer. I know the two middle drawers, the bottom has my jeans and the top has my pajama pants.

Walmart Stories

Today was a fun day for me. I went to Walmart, and didn’t expect to go at all. I had a fun time. Even though I had a somewhat low battery on my wheelchair and couldn’t find the CD I wanted. Going to Walmart¬†is a fun thing to do. For one, it gets me out of the house and depending on who I go with its¬†either hilarious or just plain weird. I’ve got tons of Walmart stories that I could share with you. Two stories out of them all though actually go with today. Somehow my cousin Kristi ends up being in both of these stories. I wonder if she’ll remember these days. Both days were very interesting and crazy.

First story is about when my mom and sister were getting their nails done. They do this as their girl time. I’m not as girly as they are and thank god for that! My cousin Kristi would come with us so I wasn’t alone. We had this thing of going around different aisles¬†and we would go to the aisle with the clocks and mirrors. We were the two crazy girls taking pictures of ourselves in these mirrors while other customers were shopping. Then would go look at all these kid toys. We tried out the “Push Me” stuffed animals and any other toy that could possibly make the loudest noise to freak us out. Sometimes we had toys keep going after we ran off. After that we went to the entertainment section. After we left we decided to look at baby clothes. Now, she’s got a niece and a nephew. So looking at baby clothes was normal for her to do since she’s an aunt. Well, today I was passing through the baby section and saw this shirt that said “stud muffin” on it. It was so cute! It made me remember that day with Kristi.

As¬†we were leaving to go back home today, we passed two ice cream shops. One going into town and the other going the east of town. I think that’s right. Not for sure though. Anyways, it made me think of this really hot day in July. My friend Janise¬†and my cousin Kristi and I went putt-putting on what felt like the hottest day ever. I think we got to five holes and we were like, “ok, it’s too hot!” So we left and got ice cream. Janise¬†was driving, and we were going to Mason’s which is on the east side. Well when we got into town she pulled into Scoop’s and Kristi and I were dying laughing because it wasn’t the right place. So we got out on the highway and went to Mason’s and ordered. When we got done, we sat in KFC’s¬†parking lot while the bright sun was shining right on us. It was a fun day being with them and laughing about how Janise was hoping not to make a mess in her car and not to make a mess on me with the melting ice cream.

Blow Me Away

Today is really windy. Fall here usually means windy days and colder nights. Which makes going to a Football game unbearable. The bleaches make your butt go numb and you can no longer feel anything in your body. However for me, since I can’t sit up on the bleaches my wheelchair is the next best thing. Guess what? It’s not much better either.

I don’t like the whole a shirt and a hoodie on top of that. Practically two pairs of pants and two pairs of socks on. I don’t have any shoes on. Mostly because we can’t find them and I really doubt they’d fit on my feet either. Sometimes I wear socks on my hands because the sleeves from the hoodie don’t really do the trick anymore. Especially on the really cold nights.

Despite all the coldness that the night brings. When its windy outside you either end up having a good or bad day depending on how you had your hair before you went outside. When it’s windy outside you can see which trees have changed completely in color, but most of the trees are just half green. Which are pretty, its like one side of the branches got burned somehow and the other got saved. It’s really pretty. That’s one of the things I love about fall.
