Nolan’s 1st Party!

Hello!

Last weekend we celebrated my nephew’s first birthday with a big party! It’s been a long time since I have been at his house. I told my mom that he had to been around three months at the time, because Brandon and I were watching Black Panther after it just came out on DVD. It was very difficult to keep my eyes on the screen and not on a certain little baby in the pack-n-play! He was surprisingly very good for us, until towards the ending where he wanted to be fed quickly and he wasn’t – he wasn’t very happy! He has yet to grow out of that by the way!

The theme of the party had changed a few times over the coming months, but ultimately they decided on one thing: Llamas! So, in March, my sister found him this cute little llama stuffed toy at the store for Easter and he apparently liked it so much that she set out to find other items to fit in that theme, thus making the entire party about llamas. The only thing that wasn’t in a llama shape was the cake, although she did try to find someone to make one for her back in May!

One of my favorite things that had llamas on it, were our shirts that Blondie found for us. Both sides of the family were given customize T-Shirts of a black silhouette of a llama with whatever we are to Nolan. For example, I am his “auntie” so that’s what I got on mine, but both of his grandmothers have different names. My mom is “Mimi” while Brandon’s mom is “Grammie” to him. I have always had a small stack of tops that fit perfectly on my shoulders and if there was a special design on the front, it isn’t blocked by my hands the whole time the stack was even smaller! I’m very glad to tell you that I can add this to the pack! You can see everything, I love it so much!

My mom and I were the first ones to get there. I was greeted by Chipper and the cats. Chipper was SO excited to see us, but the look on Nolan’s face when he realized that Mimi was the one waking him up from a nap in his crib, was so cute! He was so surprised! He looked stunned when he found out I was there too! We were there about 10 minutes before my dad and our “uncle” Russell came over. Nolan was very happy to see his papaw! He just wrapped his small arms around his neck (and beard) and my dad was all too happy to deny him. Nolan was a little unsure about Russell at first but after a couple of minutes, he actually asked to be held by him and it was so adorable.

They were originally supposed to have 30+ people coming to the party, but since we were under a Tornado warning all afternoon, we were happy with the small get together instead. It was an interesting mix of people though, the best thing was everybody got along perfectly! We ate food, chit-chat with one another, played with Nolan. Our friend Jayde, who is expecting her first baby boy later this year, ate around three cupcakes. She and I made a deal that she could have the cupcakes and I can have the broccoli. I love broccoli! She fully agreed to that! I’m actually shocked on how little I snacked though, because I’m known to eat quite a bit at parties but there wasn’t a lot of room for me to eat by myself or have my mom feed me easily without being in the way of little guy eating his strawberries in his high chair! Honestly, I made myself a deal at the end of the party, I was going to have one vanilla cupcake. I did get my cupcake, but I almost regretted it on the way home…

After everybody grabbed a seat, we decided it was time to open some presents. He got a LOT of interesting toys for his birthday! The first one that “he” opened was from his Grammie and his aunties too. Blondie opened the cards first, which is always a nice gesture even though they are usually the last present anybody ever wants to open, because they usually have a message inside that could make you cry in front of your guests. Nolan was another story entirely, he loved his cards! The one that his Grammie got him had shiny glitter inside the number one symbol on the front, so you could essentially shake it like a snow globe and everything will move around. He literally did not want to put it down! It was in his right hand during the rest of the unwrapping.

These are some of the gifts that I could remember of the party.

  • A small red and blue slide (that was wrapped in Batman paper! I loved it, and I’m not a big fan of him either!)
  • A large stack of different summery clothes.
  • Bubble making lawn mower
  • Tool bench and belt full of tools he’ll need to fix my ‘broken’ wheelchairs
  • A standing drum set
  • A big yellow truck to put all of his toys
  • Paw Patrol trucks with characters of the show
  • A book for bedtime made specifically for him as it has a blond baby named Nolan.

There were a lot more that you will see at in the gallery below. He will certainly be really busy making lots of noises in the next few months! My sister actually sent mom a picture of him standing at the drum kit in the middle of the pack-n-play without any help of the walls after the party was over! We’re getting closer to seeing cutie pie walking around on his own.

Once we were finished with the presents, we moved on watching him eat his smash cake. For this, he had to become semi-naked and as much as he loves being like this, he absolutely hates taking off his clothes! After everything was off, he was placed in his high chair again. I will be inserting the before and after pictures of the cake itself in a minute, but Nolan isn’t necessarily a messy eater, he likes to inspect things so he was really puzzled by this cake at first. He literally only would stick one finger into it at a time. Brandon quickly realized that we’d be here forever if he continues doing this, so to make things go faster, he literally grabbed Nolan’s hands and planted them right into the cake! Nolan was not sure what to do with all of the icing on his hands so he was literally shaking his arms but he actually accepted the fact that it did taste pretty good!

The part that made me remember that I am still teaching him things without even realizing it, was when he started leaning his mouth into the cake. As everybody was laughing and taking pictures at this, I was like “oh, crap!” Whenever I eat in the kitchen, he is at the same level as me, so he can watch me like a hawk, because I do lean into my plate so my tongue can reach everything. So seeing the now one year old mimicking what I do for every breakfast, lunch, and dinner, was pretty cute! He was trying his best to get into it, to the point that my sister actually had to hold the cake up in front of him to reach with his mouth! He’s such a smart cookie!

Once he was done eating the cake–well, actually his mommy had to take it away from him! He wasn’t very happy about that, but after he was basically washed down with many, many wipes, he was rewarded with his new toys! He quickly went back to his tool belt and started waving it around in the air. This was also the time where half of the guests were leaving to go home. Russell and dad were one of the firsts to leave because we needed them to be ready to get back into the house, which was a fun mini adventure on its own!

My mom and I left about 10 minutes later, but we were going to get food from Applebee’s and it was roughly a 20-25 minute wait to pick everything up, we decided to go look at the expensive houses in town. I’ve been watching Property Brothers like crazy lately so this was my jam! However between the two of us, we realized how different our tastes in houses were as far as exterior design goes! I still love my ranch-style houses, but even I started finding some of these larger houses to be very beautiful, especially that Tudor house! Once our 20 minutes were up, we went to pick up our food and eventually made our way home!

I had an awesome time spending the day with a great bunch of people, and what I think really made it better was the fact that after the small storm we had, the sky actually perked up. It was sunny again, which was really nice considering how much rain we’ve had in the last couple of weeks or so! I also had lots of fan watching my little nephew enjoy time with each family and friends as well!

What do you think is the most weirdest theme for a birthday? What did you think of my day too?

Another Royal Baby | Name + Royal Title Predictions

royalbaby

Howdy!

Last year, I wrote a post about Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden had welcomed their second son, Prince Gabriel and of course how I felt about the announcement of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expecting their third child. Before I started writing this, I decided to reread what I had predicted and I was really convinced that they were having a girl and I was a bit shocked when The Duchess had Prince Louis, but in the end I grew into the fact that I was wrong. I mean, I was even wrong with my nephew’s gender too!

I just want to say before we really start on this post. Everything below are just some of my thinking of what could happen next spring. It could all change and I would be thrilled either way! I’m just a fan and mini historian of the royals so I wanted to air out some of my thoughts today, so I hope you enjoy this little read.

Now we know that The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now expecting their first child! I didn’t have to look it up on Facebook, it was the first thing my mom told me after getting me up to go to the bathroom the morning the news broke! I am really excited for another royal baby, but I feel so bad for Meghan as her family will definitely want to ante up on their tactics to not only speak to her but see their grandchild, niece or nephew and the tabloids are just going to eat it up as it continues on!

Since it is very early to be talking about what kind of names could the Duke and Duchess use for their child. I always wonder if it would be easier to guess the names if you knew what the gender was, but with the royal family, you can never really know what they like or not as I’ve found out recently! There is the possibility of them using their mothers for inspiration. Since The Prince Of Wales, basically was generous enough to walk Meghan down the aisle of the wedding, there’s a big possibility that “Charles” would be in the top 10, but I really doubt the name “Thomas” will be used at all, for obvious reasons! And then I wonder if they would choose an American name in there? There’s just a lot to think about when it comes to names, so that’s why I will wait a bit to say what kind of names I like and could be in the running for their baby.

Lastly, there has been some talk about whether or not this baby will be given princely titles. My mom and I got on the discussion about this recently and I had to explain the different scenarios. Could their child have a royal title? It honestly really depends. There have been websites stating the fact that yes, it can be done but only if Queen Elizabeth says so, but that’s not exactly true either!

Despite the fact that Prince Harry was given a dukedom when he got married, that doesn’t exactly mean they’re children will have princely titles. The best example of this is Prince Michael, Duke of Kent and his wife The Princess of Kent. As you can see, even though he is a “Prince” as a first cousin to Queen Elizabeth, his children are actually called Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor. The Duke conducts royal engagements for the Queen to this day, but his children do not as they are far in the royal line. So, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle children will either be a Lord or Lady most likely.

There is a possibility that Queen Elizabeth could give their child a title, yes, but even if she doesn’t, it doesn’t mean that it could never happen at all. One thing to keep in mind if they were to have a son, is that when Prince Harry passes, his dukedom will be transferred over to the eldest son, thus becoming the 2nd Duke of Sussex. Now there is another way, but it is a long shot; since Harry is still very close to his maternal uncle Charles Spencer, 9th Earl of Spencer, again this is where having a son can help carry on the family titles, he could inherit the Earl’s title. However, their a couple of difficulties as Earl has two sons, the Louis Spencer, Viscount of Althorp and The Honourable Edmund Spencer. And there’s the chance that the earldom could be transferred to Prince Louis of Cambridge instead. So the chances of The Duke’s son gaining those family titles are pretty slim but it could happen and has in the past. After Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria, older brother Prince Ernest of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha died without having a son, The Queen and Prince Consort’s second son Prince Alfred was awarded the Dukedom in 1893.

Personally, I am on the fence about their children having any royal titles. One thing that I’ve noticed about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is that they are really laid back compared to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge mostly because that line of succession is basically secured with their children behind them. According to news outlets, Prince Harry has been saying that they want to raise their family out of the limelight, which I don’t really see this being a possibility, because people are fairly obsessed with the both of them, it’s only going to get bigger when this child or any more are born in the near future.

However personally, this child could be raised somewhat normal, kind of like the Princess Royal’s children and grandchildren. They do not have any titles and live their lives, with that exception of the public knowing everything. Since they will all be apart of the younger generation of the Royal House of Windsor, they definitely will have people watching their every move so it wouldn’t really matter if they had a title after all.

So, what do you think about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex expecting their first child? Do you have any early name guesses? What do you think about a royal title for the little royal?

June Playlist

Howdy!

So… June’s been very eventful!

I had to change up my weekly routine for this week a bit. If Nolan had decided to stay in and bake a little longer, I would have a review or my second half of movies that are coming out this year up right now. I still don’t know what all I’m going to do with July as a whole, so there may be a smaller amount of posts going up than the regular 15! I don’t think anybody would mind that though.

June has had a good selection of music come out, majority of it on one single day: the 15th. 5 Seconds Of Summer to Christina Aguilera, they all had an album come out at one time! Mike Shinoda’s album Post Truamtic also came out that day, you’re probably wondering if I’ll review that too, but I on’ think so. The LP that was released in March was enough for me to handle, so nope.

Not A love Song by Bulow
I Know You by Craig David
Weekend by Priory
The Hills by The Weeknd
Exhumed by Zola Jesus
The Crown by Zayde Wolf
Words As Weapons by Seether
Never Be by Meg Mac
Weightless by Natasha Bedingfield
Something Better by Audien featuring Lady Antebellum

If you’d like to check out the full playlist for June, click this link now!

This month, I decided to do something different for my Tune Tuesday series and let an artist from a band I’ve been listening to for the past two or three years, write up a couple of pieces and Anne gave me some really good and interesting material to use on here. However, she will not be back for July, but hopefully both of our schedules will clear up a little so she can come back for either August or September.

Of course, here are the last few reviews I’ve done for June as well, as promise I’m including the one from the last week of May too! So if you never got to read them and have a little bit of time on your hands, you can do that now.

Dear Papaw II

28535342_1768924659838523_1707063689_n

Dear Papaw,

Last year, we discussed basketball, and I know you probably really enjoyed it. I have been learning a lot of terms in the past five months and I’m really enjoying it, but wish I could have you back around so you can see me cuss and scream with joy at my TV late at night just like you. I’m actually still shocked that mom doesn’t put anything on Facebook about that actually! I know she laughs at me though because every once in a while, I can hear her behind the door!

I’m still surprised you never watched a pro basketball game though. I find those are a little bit more interesting! One of the first games I ever watched of the Houston Rockets was when they went up against the Detroit Pistons and what was so cool about it, was the fact they kept going back and forth making three point shots! I was so impressed, but unfortunately, after they went into halftime I never saw finished the game nor did I find out who won it. Now I either watch it and after halftime start recording it or I just tape the entire thing because I get really tired watching the later games!

I recently watched the Dallas Mavericks go up against the Lakers and found out that one of your favorite players from IU was a member on the other team. For some odd reason, I didn’t notice him until the end of the third quarter because the commentators were suddenly talking about him and I immediately recognized the name “Yogi”. He wasn’t the only Hoosier I’ve actually got to see play. Back in November or early December, I finally got to see Cody Zeller play! He really is a tall dude but also looks like he’s thirty years old too!

Let’s get out of talking about basketball, but don’t worry, we’ll go back to it in a minute!

As you may know, little Emily is pregnant and Kristi is expecting #2! There’s babies all over the place! Is anybody else going to announce their pregnant in the next coming months that you know about up there?

It’s still a bit of a shock knowing that she’s not only married now but growing a baby in her baby when I literally have vivid memories of her being in mom’s belly. I still remember the day we all went to see her on the ultrasound. I vaguely remember being amazed that this stick like thingy could see through the uterus and map out an image of a fetus, and as a four year old that was like the coolest thing ever! I have yet to see Nolan move on it, but there’s a reason for that. Apparently, there’s just enough room for the doctor, mommy, and daddy in the room. So I’m left seeing the ultrasound pictures on Facebook, because mom keeps forgetting to actually show me the pictures!

When we found out that Emily and Brandon were expecting a boy, I will be honest and say that I was shocked. I really wanted a girl, but mostly because we all know how to take care of girls, plus Brandon has two sisters so even knows things about girls (somewhat) so knowing that he’d get a boy probably made him very happy, but I think figuring out that Emily also wanted a boy was interesting! I mean, since it’s been announced I’ve had many dreams of her getting peed on in the middle of the day, which means if I decide to take up the challenge of changing a diaper, it will be me getting wet instead.

I think it’ fair to say that almost everybody has purchased something for them, but mom has a full bag of baby clothes, while both dad and I have one outfit picked out for him. We at least have control over ourselves, but I have a feeling you were trying to influence me these last two months with the onesie I got for him. Amazon had cute little onesies that had collars like you used to wear and mom didn’t like them! One thing though is that I do think the one I got will work better as its more casual.

28536475_1768924629838526_1468751189_n

Brandon and I are going to be awful with this kid, as he loves DC and I’m on team Marvel, thankfully he has been buying him both sides but you know if I get the chance of changing his clothes, I’m going to put him in anything Avengers. The last time we went to Walmart, I saw these Avengers sneakers and I almost got them because I felt like I wouldn’t see them the next time. We both like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so we’re good there, it’s just colleges now is our issue. Brandon has a lot of North Carolina stuff on his wish list but I’m the good one. I’m trying to keep up with the tradition of the Butler shirts. This definitely won’t be his only shirt, as Emily saw little Butler booties and now I want to get those to complete the whole package!

Well, I think I’m done with this now. Hope you are still watching over us and enjoying your time in heaven with some of your friends too.

Love and miss you.

Blogmas | Unisex Baby Wishlist

Untitled

Hello!

Don’t worry, I don’t plan on talking about Blondie’s pregnancy or the baby this much, but apparently I suck at planning ahead whenever I was busy doing NaNo at the same time!

Since you guys know that I will be entering the role of the “cool aunt” Megz next summer, I figured this was appropriate! Now my views of neutral prints, patterns and colors may not fit what you think as “neutral” so we’re going to be respectful of each other on this post, especially to me because I’m really new to this and I’m just going to share what I liked, okay?

Untitled

To me, I think most unisex colors are like gray and black. However, I like to think there are certain pastel shades that can work well for this too, there’s a very light yellow, mint, baby blue, and even lavender. I feel like the bolder colors just automatically puts the child into a box for whatever gender they are, so in the way I went about this, I searched for grays, mint and whites apparently. Let’s just say, I will be a happy camper once we figure out what it’ll that way I get a better idea of which side to look for because this was honestly harder than I pictured it to be!

So I think we’re going to talk about the things I found on Walmart.

4 Pack Swaddle Blanket Set – Although it is not pictured above, I really liked it. I think all four blankets were cute and very unisex, as both genders can be interested in owls and stars. Personally, I liked the baby blue one with the clouds. When I was younger, I wanted to be a meteorologist. and I still enjoy looking up at the sky and the clouds, but let’s be honest here I’m really looking for aliens!

Disney Mickey Mouse Fleece Blanket – Again, I think both genders can be into Mickey Mouse or any other classic Disney character. I know if they have a boy Blondie will still try to incorporate Disney in there somewhere, and Mickey Mouse is perfect. And let’s be honest every person (or in this case: child) needs a good fleece blanket.

Going on Walmart’s website and trying to find anything for the baby was more difficult than I thought it would. It was all confusing whereas going on Target was simpler; easier to read and figure out where everything was on the page. This is the reason why I have a larger batch of things that I liked from there.

Now about the things about Target and one other item that I found on another website!

3 Pack Elephant Bibs – I thought these were really cute! I think I fell in love with these for the mint and elephant print. Some people could think that these two would be considered “boy” items but I think girls can rock a good mint every once in a while too! So I think it works too!

4 Pack Burping Cloths – Keeping with the gray and mint theme I guess, I also found this burping cloth set, they don’t match the bibs perfectly as the pattern for this are arrows instead, but I still think they’re pretty adorable too! I hadn’t heard of these before, but I do think they are handy, especially if you don’t want to keep using up dish rags all the time.

Gray Arrow Blanket = This was another one that I fell in love with, this is a gray blanket. I think it’s just a regular blanket, not fleece or anything. I think it would be better since the baby will be born in the summertime, but also Blondie tends to turn the temperature down throughout the day and night, so it might be handy to keep around.

Giraffe Sleep ‘n’ Play Suit – When I first saw this, I swore the animal on it was ducks, but it’s a giraffe. Somebody needs to tell the designers that giraffes are orange, not yellow! Anyways, I think I just gravitated towards this because of the little feet booties! Any animal faces at the feet are so cute on babies! I mean, I have cool feet myself but I can’t pull off a cute onesie for the life of me!

100% Wired Graphic Jumpsuit – I loved, loved, loved this! I have a real weakness to graphic tees myself, so finding baby versions was too cute to pass up! I thought this was cuter though because I feel like with Blondie and Brandon having one dog and four cats, this kid will be the non-fur animal in this family! Especially in the first couple of months!

2 Pack Mint and Stripes Pants – These were so sweet! They are still in the mint and gray theme I’ve got going on. I really liked this one because of the black and white striped pants.

2 Pack Gray and Stripes Pants – I did find another set of pants in gray, they’re not from the same brand or type, but I thought they were cute too! I liked the cuffs, I’ve always loved that detail. It seals out the cold from the outside, so yes, they’re a personal favorite too.

Baby’s First Halloween Bib – This was actually the first thing that popped up on the screen, plus all of the Thanksgiving and Christmas ones too! I think babies should have seasonal clothes too, as it would be nice to dress them up in but I also know that they’d probably ruin them too within the hour is up, so I thought these bibs were a better option but as I was told, the baby may not be old enough to eat solids by Halloween or even Thanksgiving, so they just need up being a cute decoration for the squirt!

Butler Bulldogs Onesie – This is my only non-Target and Walmart item. I think this baby deserves some Butler Bulldog apparel and I’d be happy to share the Butler love forward with this baby. I honestly wanted to get the baby a Butler pacifier, but they weren’t on the website when I looked but I did find both bibs and onesies instead. And weirdly enough, I picked the gray one automatically, but I think gray would look better for this post as I’ve done nothing but talk about gray on here.

I think Blondie said we might found out what the gender is sometime in February, probably around Valentine’s Day as she wants a party that surrounds a holiday, and honestly that would be easier to plan if she wants to incorporate hearts into the theme, but yes, they have an idea of when they’re going to find out and how they want to share it with everyone!

What are some colors and patterns that you think can be counted as gender neutral? What do you think of my little wishlist? Have I lost my mind already?! You can be honest there.

How To Wrap Presents!

15135804_1288718891192438_5787302716687079660_n

Howdy!

You’re probably wondering how I have a post about wrapping presents up this early? Well for starters, I have been blogging about my cousin’s pregnancy for the past year now and since my nana and I couldn’t make it to her baby shower back in October, she and I had come up with a plan to get some things for the baby. So my nana and I order two different sets of baby books so she and boyfriend Joe will be able to read to him at night once he’s born.

When it came time to wrap up these items, I really wanted to wrap the books that I had specificly picked out for the baby and I will mention right now that I have never wrapped a gift in my life! Somebody has always done it for me, which back then was fine because I have a slight phobia of tape. I’ve been doing pretty good at handling it recently, but I still can’t stand the sound of duct tape!

We were probably four presents in before she said “you know this would make a good blog post” and I grabbed my camera from my bag and we started taking pictures since I’ve never been properly taught how to wrap a present with my toes, we both figured it was time to learn! Of course, everybody has their own ways, they either do it all pretty or they half ass it. It’s whatever works for you I guess!

My nana gets sent small sections of festive wrapping paper every year and since we literally have a box full of paper we decided to put them into good use! If the item is small, you could cut the paper in half so you could save it for something else. So first, we unfolded a section of the paper and put the book in the middle of the paper, and then once it was in the right area we folded the sides of the paper into one another, we folded both sides inward and put tape on top to secure it in place.

15037214_1288722157858778_531927096989331500_n

After that, we moved onto the bottom and top parts of the package. We folded one side and each of the corners into the book itself, putting enough pressure to get out the creases before putting another slice of tape on top of that. We then moved onto the other side and repeated the same method.

15107260_1288722444525416_477499831867899638_n

When we finished those steps, we folded the left overs into the actual gift and taped that as well as that will secure that side completely. Once we were done, we moved onto the other side where we used the same techniques again.

All that’s left to do now is to put on your tags and bows if you so desire. My nana didn’t have her bows out yet so we only had the tags, but I thought it would be too much to have the bows on them!

15095071_1288725097858484_7978002061760391503_n

I thought we did a pretty good job getting all of the gifts wrapped for when Kristi came down for Thanksgiving (yes, we did these six days before Thanksgiving!) and I tried to wrap the pacifiers and they were a disaster! I could only get one half, it was just a smaller area of wrapping paper and once I tried going for the top of it I realized why people just half ass wrapping gifts because I was really confused on how to make it look pretty like the rest!

I’m usually not that bad as a perfectionist, years ago when I was drawing in school, I was really hard on myself which is why I don’t draw now, but doing this was really testing my patience and I was really worried that I’d just give up on it! I still got through it though! I really love learning what else I can do with my toes. One thing that I was really happy about was the fact that I got both of my feet to corporate and work together nicely! Since I write with one foot and now type on my keyboard with the other, they’re finally understanding the word “teamwork” a little bit now!

How do you wrap your Christmas presents? What are your methods? Any tips?

Still Obsessed With Names

perspective

Everybody knows I’m obsessed with names. I’ve changed my future kids’ names about 20 times in the last five years. Which is scary if you really think about it for a second. I know I’ve discussed this about a hundred times, but lately I’ve been trying to separate the types of names into two different lists. From possible future names for my kids and for my possible stories for my characters. I don’t like too futuristic names for both parts, but I like names that have some real meaning to them. Each name that I have on these two spots are from names I’ve found on movies, TV shows, and from my Pinterest. I give a lot of credit to Pinterest for the overload of my favorite names. So forgive me there!

The name Rogue is just a name that I kind of fell in love with when I first got into the X-Men movies. In the comics and movies, her original name is “Marie” and she is played by Anna Paquin. The second name Leah is a family name, I have a great-aunt “Elsaleah” and my mom’s middle name is “Leah.” I’ve always wanted to find a way to use it in some form, and I would like to use it with another name on this list. Brynn is a name I found when I was a freshman, but the girl who inspired it, her name was “Bryna” and I like both ways and they both go with the middle name I have for both which is “Danielle.” Freya is a name that I got from the TV show Witches Of East End, the character is played by Jenna Dewan-Tatum. I find it to be very Earthy, the name means “a noble woman” and I like to use it with the name “Christine.” The next name is from another TV show and ironically enough another witch, Davina is from The Originals and she is played by Danielle Campbell. The name means “little deer” which I think is cute and it’s different and should be easy to spell and pronounce. Clementine is my second longest name and I say “second” because the other was first. I found this name a few years ago and I’ve always liked it for some reason. These next two  names were always favorites of mine. Ava is adorable and I think I like it because it reminds of the actress Ava Gardener. Mae is another one of my family names. My nana and sister have it as a middle name. My little cousin has it as well, but she has it spelled with a “y” instead. I would love to use it as a middle name for maybe for “Davina” or as a first name for this next name.

Alexandra was my first long name I liked. I would love to use it as a middle name with “Mae” because I could have my parents’ first names initials. The next name is Nina and yes, I did choose it because of the actress Nina Dobrev. My sister also had a friend with this name and I always admired her from afar and I loved her name so much that she’s the reason why I love it so much! Brielle is just one of those beautiful and unique names that only fits with the name “Mary” trust me I’ve tried every name I could think of and I think it’s cute and girly together! This name is apparently not as popular with people anymore. I love the name Navaeh a lot! It’s “heaven” spelled backwards and I just love it and I’m sorry, it’s better than “Nova.” I love this next name and I would love to use it as a second middle name with “Leah” and it means “daydream” so it fits well with me very well. It is Reverie. I have always liked the name Hayden, mostly because of the actress Hayden Panettiere. I used to want to put it together with the name “Avril” but thankfully somebody talked me out of it. This next name is actually “new” to my list and it’s Genevieve and I think it feels like another Earthy name. I got this from another witch off of The Originals, played by Elyse Levesque. The last name on the girls list is Kate. It’s short and simple and yes, Princess Kate is the reason why I love it so much!

boys

This next list of names was much more difficult for me, because I like simple but strong names for boys. I want my future son(s) to feel confident within their name (as the girls too) but have some sort of unique and class to them too! The first name is a name I found when I was looking up medieval names, this was the first name that popped up. Audric has three different origins, French, English, and German. I think it’s a cute “A” name and it’s strong as well, plus it works with “Morgan” as a middle name too. The next name is Otto and there’s a Dutch band called Delain that I love and their bassist has the same name. The meaning is “wealthy” and it says it’s Swedish, American, and German. Everybody knows about Mason. At least this one it’s in with every boy name list I have so that’s a good thing! The name Charles is from another name from the X-Men comics and movies. Patrick Stewart plays Professor X. I have thought about combining both “Erik” and “Charles” for a first and middle name, but I don’t really like that spelling of “Erik.” I might use the name “Ian” instead since Ian McKellan plays “Magneto” in the movies anyway.

Noah and Wyatt are just a short, sweet, and simple names that I’ve always liked. Dante is the only “D” name that I like and trust me it’s only one that works with “Morgan” too. Elijah, well he is another character off of The Originals, he is an original vampire played by Daniel Gillies. This next name Lachlan, I found a few months ago, and I think it’s pretty cute and different. Aiden is a cute “A” name that I’ve always liked but everybody uses it. Tyler is another very common name that I’ve always liked and even though if I was to really name my future son then everybody, mostly my sister, would give me a funny look and ask the “why” question. It’s not a family name, but the name is very known in my family. The last one is Johan. I think it’s another unique and it’s a Swedish, German, Finnish, Hebrew, and American name. I like it and I would use it in the way like my Papaw’s mother used his name. She used her maiden name as his middle name,  so I would use my mom’s maiden’s name as his middle name. Just to kind of keep a tradition in a sense and surprising both names work well together.
