Movies I Want To See In 2018 | January-June

2

Hello!

So this is my first post of 2018, my lovely and somewhat overwhelming list of films, I’d like to see throughout the first six months of the new year! I think this past year has been a really interesting time for me as I watched so many movies. In my wrap up post I published last week, I said I had over 30+ but since I even broke one of my own rules and watched and ended up falling in love with several films that came out in the mid-90’s, I actually had seen probably 50 movies in all!

I definitely put a lot of action, adventure type of films on this list. They’re usually my number one weakness, but since I’m starting to find the joy for drama and romantic comedies again, I’ve added a few of them on here! And you can’t go wrong with a few animated, kid-friendly movies either so I put them throughout the list too!

Stratton – Dominic Cooper, Austin Stowell, Connie Nielsen (January 5)

I like how we start out the end of the first week of January with what looks like a good action packed movie, not to mention that it’s set in London too!

I love these types of movies, if they have any police, SWAT, army themes going on, you know it’s going to be really good! However, I’m unsure what the plot is in the story. I figured they were after some sort of bad guy but it doesn’t give you any other information besides the fact that they could blow up a big section of the city, which isn’t good by any means, but I wish they had showed more about the backstory of Dominic Cooper’s character, but looks like I’m going to have to wait until later to find out.

The Commuter – Liam Nesson, Vera Farmiga, Sam Neill (January 12)

This was interesting to me. Now I will say, I’ve never seen the Taken series, so I’m unfamiliar with Liam Nesson’s greatness, but I felt like in a way this looked like some of those movies. I mean, he’s always saving somebody else. The only difference is that he’s on a damn train and where anybody on it could be a bad guy. So that part has me intrigued a little bit.

Proud Mary – Taraji P. Henson, Danny Glover, Billy Brown (January 12)

I’ve been seeing this everywhere, especially during the three back-to-back games on Christmas. I don’t want what I have to say about this movie to be taken the wrong way so I’m trying to be delicate with my words.

We don’t see African-Americans being secret assassins or cops that much. They don’t look so cool as they did in the 90’s with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, so to see Taraji P. Henson, who is both black and a woman, as a strong assassin is really interesting! At first the trailer that I kept seeing was kind of cryptic in a way because the young boy could be her son, but then I found out that he wasn’t and the story’s wrapped around the two of them and I think that’s even better. So I’m looking forward into watching this one.

The Post – Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, and Sarah Paulson (January 12)

This is another one that I’ve been seeing everywhere! It originally came out last month for a limited release, but it will come on the 12th for a wider release and that’s the reason why I’m putting it on here.

I’m very curious about this one, apparently this is about the Pentagon Papers written by the journalists of both The New York Post and The Washington Post, about the involvement of the U.S. government during the Vietnam war. It looks like a really good film especially with Tom and Meryl as the big dogs in it!

12 Strong – Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, Austin Stowell (January 19)

I saw this trailer on Facebook back in November; it popped up on an advertisement and I actually liked it. I’ve been tempted to look up if the story itself is true, because it’s set after 9/11, and I really like seeing the soldier’s point of view and how we as a country reacted to it all. It seems that it is, since they’ve clearly stated on the trailer itself that it’s a “declassified” true story. I am really happy that both Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky are doing a movie together, and they even play husband and wife too! Awww!

The Leisure Seeker – Donald Sutherland, Helen Mirren (January 19)

I am getting into my drama side with this one! At first I thought it would be a cute, funny story between these characters and then I found out it has a serious tone to it. Donald Sutherland’s role has a problem with remembering different things such as family members and his wife played by the lovely Helen Mirren is taking him on a journey to try to help him. I already know it’ll make me cry and remember my papaw, but I honestly still want to watch it anyways.

Den of Thieves – Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, O’Shea Jackson Jr (January 19)

I love Gerard Butler and yes, he was the main reason why I wanted to see this movie. I think it’s going to be awesome, even though I am already confused. Who are the bad guys? I didn’t understand that line in the trailer so if somebody wanted to help a girl out that would be nice! After watching Straight Outta Compton, I’m really glad that O’Shea Jackson Jr. is in another action packed movie. He’s other reason why I’m kind of pumped to watch this too.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure – Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster (January 26)

Now I have to say, I have yet to see the second Maze Runner movie. I have the actual DVD somewhere, and even though the first film confused the crap out of me, I still want to see it and then eventually this one as well. Funny story, this was the only trailer I didn’t watch because I didn’t want it to ruin anything!

Peter Rabbit – James Corden, Margot Robbie, Rose Bryne (February 9)

This just looks so freaking cute!

Funnily enough, I don’t remember Peter Rabbit ever being that big between my sister and I when we were kids, it’s only after when I got older that I started learning about this little guy and Beatrix Potter too. I do remember on Jeopardy last year where Beatrix and Peter Rabbit were the question to their infamous Final Jeopardy. And what was weirder, I thought it was her before they went to commercial and put up the category on the screen, which was even crazier for me!

Permission – Rebecca Hall, Dan Stevens, Morgan Spector (February 9)

This was probably the most random one of the bunch. I am getting further down the drama hole, so in a way I wasn’t necessarily that shocked by the contents of the trailer. I wouldn’t mind if it’s one of the last ones I watch in 2018 if I’m being honest. It’s not THAT racy, but it’s enough.

Black Panther – Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o (February 16)

This is the last Marvel film to come out before Avengers: Infinity War in April. We got a nice look of the character Black Panther in the third Captain America movie. I thought he was an interesting add to that movie, even though not going to lie, still not happy he was on Iron Man’s side.

I am excited to see more of his backstory though. I want to see what made T’Challa turn into the Black Panther in the first place, I mean we get a snippet in Civil War but thankfully for this, we will get to see more of him as a full character.

Red Sparrow – Jennifer Lawrence, Joel Egerton, Matthias Schoenaerts (March 2)

I don’t really know the synopsis of this movie. All I have learned about it is that it’s about spies and Jennifer Lawrence seduces people to get information from officers and then apparently kills them. And somehow in the middle of all that, she becomes a double agent.  It looks like a good movie, and I do like these types of movies since I think it would help me with research for my project, plus Jennifer Lawrence is in it! And she looks damn sexy in the trailer too!

Gnome Alone – Becky G, Josh Peck, George Lopez (March 2)

This looked too adorable! Technically this will be the first out of two movies about garden gnomes. The other one you’ll learn more about further down the list. I think it will be very cute and hilarious in parts, at least I’m hoping so!

A Wrinkle In Time – Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey (March 9)

This one I went back and forth with, because I don’t necessarily like movies like this. I think because it will be mostly made up of CGI and as much as I enjoyed Tomorrowland I am still nervous about it. I do think it will be a fun movie for kids and teenagers, especially ones who have read the book beforehand. We’ll just have to see about this one.

Tomb Raider – Alicia Vikander, Kristin Scott Thomas, Dominic West (March 16)

I will admit, I haven’t watched the other Lara Croft films with Angelina Jolie, mostly because I think the special effects in the early 00’s sucked, everytime I have tried to watch them I end up stopping after twenty minutes and deleting it. So I’m curious about how I will get on with this reboot. I am happy that Alicia Vikander has taken up the role of a younger Lara Croft though. I want to see more films of Alicia getting physical roles. She’s kind of like Mila Kunis, I feel like they don’t do a lot of action, adventure based movies so I’m hoping this works out well for her!

Sherlock Gnomes – Emily Blunt, James McAvoy, Johnny Depp (March 23)

For this one, it’s the second film of Gnomeo & Juliet and you have both James McAvoy and Emily Blunt in their normal roles. I do enjoy the fact that they are playing on different tales as little garden gnomes. I didn’t really watch much of the first one, but in the scenes I did see I liked it. I will have to record it again when it appears on Freeform and watch it all the way through before seeing the sequel.

Midnight Sun – Bella Throne, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Quinn Shephard (March 23)

I feel like this is another version of Everything, Everything but instead of being allergic to everything in sight, the main character can’t be out in the sun. So she’s a night owl and she, of course, meets a guy and they fall in love. I am trying to be as open about it as I possibly can, but it’s a damn romantic movie and you’re asking a lot out of me to find the good in it. I do enjoy Bella Throne, so that’s the main reason why I wanted to try it out, so we’ll see what happens with it.

Ready Player One – Tye Sheridan, Ben Mendelsohn, Simon Pegg (March 30)

This one was interesting. I am still hesitant about it, mostly because it’ll have a lot of CGI in it and I’ve seen virtual reality googles and a DeLorean from Back To The Future films, so I was all confused! However, it looks exciting and fun but I don’t know how much of it, I’ll really enjoy. I think it might be one that my brother-in-law would like a lot since he plays a lot of games and he might think some of the elements will be cool in it. He might watch it before me and after he’s seen it, I’ll make my decision from there!

Mary Magdalene – Rooney Mara, Joaquin Phoenix, Chiwetel Ejiofor (March 30)

I thought this was a very interesting concept. A lot of people are not going to like it all that much because this basically comes out and says that Jesus and Mary Magdalene had some type of relationship that wasn’t necessarily mentioned in the Bible. I’ve watched a few specials about whether or not Jesus had a child and/or was married while he was alive, and of course I read The Da Vinci Code last year so I am leaning into this outlook, even though the book itself was purely fictional, it does make you wonder if there isn’t even a hint of truth in it.

Rampage – Dawayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello (April 20)

I keep going back and forth on this one, mostly because it is giving me Mighty Joe Young feels and I loved/hated that movie. One thing that I liked about it was the fact that Joe actually looked real, even in his larger state. In this movie, the ape looks too animated but I wonder if it’s because the chimp itself is white than black? I don’t know so I’m a bit worried about it. It also makes me think of the first Jurassic World film too, as the humans are trying to save the animals but also save mankind from a rampage, so it has a lot of similarities to other movies that will be hard to keep an open mind while watching it, but I’ll try it out anyways!

Avengers: Infinity War – Robert Downey Jr. Josh Brolin, Chris Evans (May 4)

This is probably going to make you really sad, especially if you know my love of superheros, but I didn’t enjoy the trailer when it first came out. I showed it to my dad and he wasn’t even impressed but in my defense I did show him the newest Jurassic World trailer beforehand so he was a bit distracted about that.

I don’t know why I didn’t like it both times I watched it, but I didn’t necessarily like Age of Ultron either. I’ve become very hard to please lately. I am excited that we will have ALL of the Marvel characters from Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange joining the ever amazing cast of Avengers, but yeah, a little nervous about going into this film.

Animal Crackers – Danny DeVito, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt (May 4)

Here is another what looks like a cute family friendly movie! And it’s the only one coming out in May that I thought I’d like too. I really like the concept, it seems really fun and I wish I was a kid so I can get by watching this without feeling guilty. Thank god, I’ll have a niece or nephew so by the time it comes out on DVD I can have little nugget watching it with me! I think people who would like animals to be out of the circus forever, would love this because even though it does have these “animals” featured doing notable tricks and stuff like that, it’s all animated.

Deadpool 2 – Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller (June 1)

DEADPOOL! I still need to show my dad this trailer because I doubt he’s seen it yet. Last year, when I put up my mini rating/review of the movies I had seen in 2016, I think I gave it a 7 or 8, I’m not too sure about it. I liked it, but I mean it did seem a bit weird for the normal superhero films. And I know, Deadpool isn’t the good guy but still, I went back and forth on what I liked about it.  Dad liked it though so that works too!

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum (June 22)

Yes, last one of the first six months and of course it’s the new Jurassic World movie. I actually enjoy watching specials about Dinosaurs but I will admit, these movies scare the living shit out of me! I definitely can’t watch it at night, I’d never be able to sleep later on. It does look really good though, and like I said above, my dad seemed to enjoy the trailer so I know he’ll like it.

Out of all of these movies I’ve listed, what are you the most excited about seeing this year?

Vegas | Confetti

13434782_610335152476483_1555896004835306303_n

Hey guys,

Well, we have come down to the last post of Blondie and Brandon’s adventures in Las Vegas, Nevada! I didn’t mean for there to be such a gap in between the second post and this one, but I had no room for it last week. Sorry!

You probably think that since this will be the last post and I am going to take a break from talking about my sister and future brother-in-law for a while? That is not the case! I actually have one other post that kind of goes with these adventure posts, but it’s more like the Taylor Swift concert post I published last year! Keep your eyes out on that one next week!

Right now, we gotta get down to business. As you probably saw in the “Hail Caesar” post that it was very photo heavy, this one will not be that way as they didn’t really do much on that last full day they were there. They did attend one more party tour around, Unfortunately, I don’t (and neither did she!) know what building they stood on top of to get these beautiful pictures! I just thought it was cool that you could see the tall Harley Davidson sign in the background of the photo of all of them blowing confetti out of their hands. Correction: They were in the Fountain Room at the Manadalay Boy!

After the hell they endured driving to Vegas, they didn’t necessarily take as many breaks throughout their journey home to take some more pictures, but once you cross the Indiana border, there really isn’t much to look at unfortunately! They did take Allen home and picked up Chipper, who was staying at a friend of Brandon’s. Once at home, they went back to life in their apartment with their five fur babies!

I hope you guys have enjoyed these posts as much as I have enjoyed writing them throughout the last two months! Onto the next adventure I say! 🙂

Seen & Heard | September

UntitledThis past month has been pretty eventful.

I’ve had a successful time getting back into watching movies!! I literally started off the month of September in a very lazy way, so watching movies have been a way to pamper myself. I recorded ones that I love and always seem to regret after I’ve deleted it. I found Ray in the beginning of the month and it took me two days to watch it. I love this film, but it sort of makes me feel uneasy too. It might be from Jamie Foxx is playing one of the most famous blind musicians in the world. A couple of days later I found a movie that I haven’t seen but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about it for years. Edward Scissorhands. No, I’ve never seen it before! I thought it would be “scary” and that’s why I think I stayed away from it. I can say with a straight face that I actually loved it! It took me almost a full week to finish it though!

Another movie that I hadn’t seen, but EVERYBODY else has! High School Musical 3: Senior Year. I don’t remember watching it, but somehow I knew the melody of the songs because I was humming right along. It was really weird! I did like it and I didn’t cry to it like I always seem to do with the second film. When Gabriella comes back at the end and the song starts, I just start bawling and I’ve never understood why but it happens! While I was looking through our movie channels I found Titanic and I was an idiot! The morning I chose to try to finish it, I had to go to the bathroom really bad. So I watched the last parts of the film aka the sinking scenes, full of water while I thought I was going to pee my pants!! I did fine though, I think having the TV on mute helped a bit too! I don’t hear all the splashes and somber music either.

The night of the morning I finished up Titanic, I thought about how much I really wanted to watch the third installment of The Cheetah Girls films. After that I went looking for something to watch that night and I ended up finding that exact movie!! I was soooo happy! Whenever this happens I always feel like I have telepathic powers! A couple of weeks later, I found the Half-Blood Prince of the Harry Potter films. Truth be told, I’ve seen this one and the first part of Deathly Hollows a lot less than the others. So you could understand my excitement when I found both of them playing on ABC Family! I have ALL of the HP films on my DVR. I can actually watch all of them in order and on really low days that’s what I’ve wanted to do! Besides these I also wanted to check out Into The Woods. I’m not even a half hour into it and I hate it. I know my history though, I can say that I don’t like it but once I finish it I can have a totally different opinion. Another movie I’ve been unsure about is The Wedding Ringer. I don’t really like Kevin Hart that much so I’m thinking it might be my problem. Josh Gad just reminds me of Olaf. It might take a miracle to get me through both films at this rate!

There is a lot of talk about the final Mockingjay film of The Hunger Games franchise lately, but I finally found the first part and I was so happy!! I have to say as much as I loved Catching Fire, this might be my favorite installment so far! I am a HUGE history/suspense fan but since I’ve watched a lot of movies with the same twists and turns, I just don’t feel like watching them anymore. I kept seeing the movie The Da Vinci Code popping up on our Starz channels in the past few days and I finally read the summary and recorded it. My dad has seen it and said it was pretty interesting!! I was very impressed at how much I wanted to know what would happen next. Everytime I thought it would end–there were like three different places where it could have done that–it never did! I had missed a few key parts that you find out throughout and even though I figured who Sophie was, I was still memorized! What got me the most though it was directed by Ron Howard. Wow!

I caved in! The sequel for The Maze Runner just came out a couple of weeks ago and I finally watched the first film. I’m still fairly confused about it all, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see the second one. Dylan O’Brien is a cutie pie!! He kept reminding me of a kid I went to school with too so that made things a little bit better! I love recording old childhood classics on TV and I finally found the animated version of The Jungle Book! I was so happy! I’ve had The Bare Necessities” stuck in my head for the last several days. I’m hoping by the time I finish the actual movie it’ll disappear! A film that I’ve truly missed is Step Up. I actually have this film on DVD but it likes to skip a lot so maybe it was a good thing it showed up on the Starz channels the other night. I love the movie!! It was how I got so into Channing Tatum and his future wife Jenna Dewan. It was also the rediscovery of using hip hop influences with classical instruments. I love that combination so much!! I also taped National Treasure: Book Of Secrets and Ask Me Anything!

This month saw the return of my mom’s favorite show How To Get Away With Murder, Empire, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The only one on my list is Last Man Standing. And then you’ve got our favorite Dancing With The Stars on Mondays now! She and I actually wanted to watch Rosewood and the other didn’t know they wanted to watch it. I’ve found Nashville rerunning their first season on AXS channel and I’m really excited because I really wish I had watched it during the beginning, but I didn’t think it would be a hit like it has! I’ve also decided to watching Blood & Oil. I’m not watching it for Chace Crawford so don’t go there! I’ve been a little curious every time the trailer pops up. It’s not as good as Quantico! Oh my gosh, I think this might be a new favorite for me!!

What I’ve been listening to:

I’ve decided to shorten this part a bit by only including the music I’ve reviewed this month. Hope you don’t mind!

“Smoke Break” by Carrie Underwood
“Change The Channel” by Francensco Yates
“Raise Hell” by Dorothy
“Love Myself” by Hailee Steinfeld
“Stand By You” by Rachel Platten
“On My Mind” by Ellie Goulding
“Hold On” by Mogaui featuring Cheat Codes
“Stereotypes” by Black Violin
“Confident” by Demi Lovato

Love and War by ZZ Ward
Francensco Yates by Francensco Yates

Hilo & Kona!

c87q3hcxb7id8oanujcu9x4pzohrfpo8

They’ve been to Oahu, Pearl Harbor, and Maui. What’s next?

Luckily, for you guys after a few days of not knowing the schedule of where they were headed to next, I finally asked her. She woke up on Tuesday morning in the beautiful island of Hilo and she posted a posted a picture with a full rainbow! Exactly the way you want to start your day in a new place! Within five minutes after seeing that picture, Blondie had uploaded some of her morning walking around a very interesting beach and seeing more gorgeous waterfalls! This time she got great ones of the four of them in front of the gate and one that is an areal picture of the waterfall and the ridge of lively woods around it. So vibrant! While there, she got a few shots of a lazy turtle. A little bit about Punaluu Black Sand Beach, the first thought I had been “must be like that from the ash of exploding volcanoes!” And I was right! The sand is black, making it one of the most unique beaches that I’ve seen!

Later on that day, still exploring the area, they went to the National Volcanoes Park. A few months ago, I was watching a show talking about this park and the weird things that’s been happening to people who visit there. Apparently there’s UFOs flying over that place and they’re luring people there and killing them! Okay, so that’s not the most ideal thing to talk about on this post! My bad! They got to see their first volcano of their Hawaiian trip! This was my question at the beginning, where they going to see one? I mean you can’t go to an island made up of volcanoes without at least seeing one of them! They got to see I think two of them from what another picture she took of their tour around, it’s a giant hole with a metal-like rail around it and it had steam coming up from inside this massive opening! They also went to see the Thurston Lava Tube which is cave that was form from a large lava flow. From research, it is a 500 year old cave and the native name is Nahuku! It looks so freaking cool!! I was even a little envious after looking through the pictures!

They went to a more milder place that doesn’t involve molten lava at all! They went to a garden, called Akatsuka Orchid Garden. It is an orchid nursery, which sounds so cute! It is located on the way to the National Volcanoes Park. They have over 1,000 orchids and tropical plants. When I was in school, any time we were forced to watch a movie that we may or may not get quizzed on later I actually tried to watch it. In Biology, we watched different videos about plants and flowers to show how each one grows and why bees and birds go for the nectar inside of them. I don’t remember any of the videos from the Hawaiian plants at all! So seeing these were a bit of a surprise for me, especially that big red one! Sometimes I have a dirty mind that’s all I will say about that!

The next day they went to Kaulia-Kona pier. If you remember from either the last post or Going On a Little Cruise I talked about the things that my sister got to select to do in their stay of Hawaii. Both activities were on her list and I have to say I’m still shocked that these are hers! They started their day exploring the Kona and went inside a submarine! A 105 ft drop into the ocean they went looking at sunken ships and little fishies roaming around the blue murky waters. After coming back to land, they went over 10,000 ft up in the air over a damn volcano! And you thought you were brave!  As much as I love volcanoes, I doubt I’d ever have this on my list to do! It’s not even on my bucket list. Now the submarine thing is, but only to see the Titanic though! This was cool too! If you had just went into the ocean in a submarine and then went up in the air what would be the ideal thing to do to stop the rush? Apparently these four thought playing a little putt putt would be excellent so that’s how they ended their adventures there!

Got my information from the Go Hawaii website!

Hawaii

Hawaii1

Aloha!

Several months ago, my sister’s boyfriend told her that his grandma had invited them on a trip to Hawaii with her and his cousin. When she told all of us, we were happy for her, but very jealous of course! Hawaii is somewhat special for our family. My papaw was stationed there during the Vietnam war. He still likes to tell stories, he was never on actual battlefield but he was trained the same way as the others. Everytime he eats a pineapple, he always says that Hawaii has the best pineapples ever. On the first day being at their resort, she took a picture of a pineapple with a straw sticking out of it! I wasn’t jealous of her until I saw that picture! Now she’ll come home talking about how good a true Hawaiian pineapple tastes like!

Blondie and Batman were waking up very, very early Thursday morning to drive up to Indianapolis for their two hour airplane ride to Dallas and then going for the eight hours to Honolulu. My mom told me that night before that they were going to be getting up at 2am. I figured I was either going to stay up until they left or go to sleep AND then wake up in time. Nope, I didn’t get up until around 5am. I’m really glad she gave me a hug before she went to bed that night! Their flight to Dallas was at 6am and then I don’t remember what time they boarded their flight to Hawaii all I remember was the eight hour wait was awful! However, I’m really glad that I can still text her! If she went somewhere else outside of the states, I’d be screwed! They got there around 8pm our time. It was like 1pm there! It’s a six freaking hour difference!! I didn’t know when to text her except in the afternoons and late at night!

When they arrived in Honolulu at their resort, they found out that their room was on the 23rd floor at their hotel. It had a beautiful balcony, that at first Blondie was too afraid to go out and sit at, but once she did she took lots of pictures of the ocean, the surrounding buildings, and the beautiful tall palm trees. My poor nana was without Facebook at this time and everytime she posts her pictures on hers, I’ve been saving them uploading them to Twitter and then sending her the ones of the trees! The first picture that she sent to Facebook was outside of a window of the view of the ocean below! I don’t know why I wanted to shiver but I did so after seeing this picture. I guess I was seeing cold water in my head! A little bit after they got there, they decided to go right off to the beach. I never did hear if the water was warm or cold, but I’d imagine it would neutral! I texted my sister late at night for her, it was like early morning for me! She told me everything was good, but they didn’t have their bags! My folks and I were worried through the whole 8 hour flight about her, the whole “losing baggage” was not on our minds! I told her at least she was there, safe and sound! They got their bags back at eight o’clock at night!

Day two, well technically it was their first real day there. They went to see Oahu, and visited a Buddhist temple, called “Byodo-In Temple” and the pictures were so beautiful! If you haven’t figured out by now that Hawaii is a beautiful to begin with, we’re all in trouble! She saw her first big batch of mountains which led me to ask on Facebook if she had seen a volcano yet! She said that she’d see one in a few days as they were going to fly over it in a helicopter! Sorry, but even I would not been able to get through that in one piece! I’ll just it from a good distance away! Anyways, they also got to go see the Dole plantation. Does that sound familiar to you Americans? The first thing that popped into my head was pineapples, later on after seeing the other pictures were bananas! From there she pointed out that there were a lot of cats and chickens running around. Everybody in our family was like, “oh god, she’s gonna smuggle in a chicken/cat!” She ended her night exploring and found out that they fire off fireworks every Friday! I would have shared those, but they are very blurry!

Next post will be about her time at Pearl Harbor!! 🙂
