This week: FURIOUS

She had nothing to do with the situation that was in front of her, but that didn’t mean it didn’t affect her just as much as it affected everybody else, she found solace in her mind and thought about the actions she would express if nothing could be incriminating.

She thought of her emotions and wedged a war between what was right and what needed to happen, she wanted to get the revenge  on that other person didn’t want, but she couldn’t take the lies of denying soul who just wanted to be free; if you wanted to break free, you need to push back and demand your freedom.

The kindred soul that lived inside her body failed to keep up with raging dreams of fire and pain, her body cried out as the devil had found himself a way into her life again, and wanted to join in on her schemes to break hold of this monster that caused so much horror in not just her life, but others as well.

The truth was slowly coming out and as everything came down for the monster, the truth didn’t seem to phase that person at all, the thoughts of red still flashed in her eyes.

Nothing was about her, but it sure as hell wasn’t going to end at her.

This week: MISUNDERSTANDING

Nothing was a mistake or a misunderstanding to her.

She knew the truth, it was obvious since nobody bothered to really check the lies that they spoke of.

The rain poured down on their kingdom as she smiled onward as the gods were agreeing with her; they should be punished for their wrong doings.

As they faced judgement day, pleaded with the gods to show them mercy, they were forgetting the most important person they should be apologizing to, but all they saw of her was a witch, the more they ignored her and threatened exile, the gods showed their real powers.

Their castle was slowly crumbling, the plaque had killed most of the people in the surrounding villages, once they realized the gods were on her side, they begged for their mercy, but all she could say was, “you had your chance” and in came the war and destruction.

This week: SUNSHINE

Winter was cruel to the animals in the woods, while the bigger animals slept away with their full bellies and warm fur, the smaller critters scattered to one place to another to find someplace warm and cozy.

As the snow would fall from the sky, it would continue to rise from the ground, making things harder for the mice and insects to find some scraps of food.

The woods still buzzed with life though, the deer still went out here and there, looking for some sort of grains from the frozen stalks in the countryside, the crows still made their way into the sky despite the blistering temperatures.

Through time the snow begins to melt and slowly turn back into ice again, all of the little critters stay indoors as the big ones wake up for a midday snack and don’t understand why they keep slipping and sliding when they walk on the lake to get a drink of water.

By the end of the days of winter, the woods has become more greener again, the trees have more life to them and the sun shines more in the day to awaken all of the animals from their slumber and then winter turns into spring.

This week: STRENGTH

Her body was just hanging on by a thread, her skin had turned very pale and the only once of color left on her body were the color in her hair, even though that was slowly fading away too; but also her dark but clear brown eyes.

The doctors did all they could for her, now all they could do was keep her comfortable, she liked sitting by the window to look out and see the birds sitting on the roof of the buildings nearby, they had the will to fly away from their houses while she was forced to stay.

Somedays she stayed in her chair, even slept in it because she refused for anybody to move her out of it, but there were days she refused to let anyone in her room and refused to get out of bed altogether, she had given all hope for herself to get better.

One early morning, the sounds of a light violin echoed the halls of the hospital, she woke up and demanded to know who was playing it, but the nurses didn’t understand her because they didn’t hear any violin playing, as they went to tell her she began to hum to herself and smile happily, the nurses couldn’t break her heart after seeing her so happy.

Her late brother was violinist and the family had said whenever she’s sick and/or heavily sedated she swears he plays the tune he played for her when she was little, it always gave her joy but after everything had worn itself out the music stopped and she didn’t have anything to give her strength to go on, so they tried to play music anywhere she went, but this time she had created the music in her mind after being told they were not allowed to bring in live music.

Five Sentence Fiction: Ache

WARNING: I went a little crazy with this and yes, it has some sexual content. This is (hopefully) my only Valentine’s Day entry for these writing challenges I’ll ever do. And no, I will not give away who I was imagining for the male lead, only to say he’s hot and a blonde and blued man. Enjoy!

This week: ACHE

“The night is young,” or so he said to my ear, he had me on the edge of my feet with his sweet voice, he knew how to use his words to almost make me leap over the neatly decorated table at the restaurant.

His hair was short, but the ends were slightly curled, he had such a cute baby face, but had the scruff as a grown man, it made the difference to see him as a gentleman than a little boy in my eyes.

The way his fingers intertwined with mine, made me want him to hold me close so I could not only feel him near my body but also hear his heart beat alone with mine; as we walked down the sidewalk and began a small conversation the need to be with him grew stronger than ever and luckily for me, he had the same ache as I did just being next to him.

My mind began to wonder on as he continued to talk about life and what he saw for his future, would he continue to be loving to me with his touch or would he would go slow to the point were he has me begging for more, and not just for sex, but will he continue to give me more of his time, his touch, and will the words that he says still hit me like they did tonight?

As we lay on the bed, clothes spread out all around the floor, I just became the kind of women that my cousins and I use to laugh at as they passed by us in the halls of different hotels when we went on family vacations; he has his face tucked inside his left hand and the blanket is lightly covering his body, his pale skin still shows the stream of sweat down his body, strong arms caressed my body softly, more than any lotion could do, we blended together so well that he freed the insecured girl inside, and he could have just kissed me and left for the night.

This week: FROZEN

The castle is dark, damp, and empty; skeletons lay in different corners, minding their orders to never move from their spot unless they were told so by the king.

The final farewell was bittersweet as the young woman walked passed each one, breathing in the mold and horror of each one’s remains on the ground, she wondered if  they ever found peace on the other side?

As the others walked inside, writing down little notes of what they saw inside, she felt a hole in her heart as the reason why these men were lying there all around them, trapped in their cages forever, they were only trying to protect her from the King’s mistress, who seeked revenge on everybody inside the castle, even the King’s young daughter.

She still bares the memories of the hell she went through as the young knights drove her out of the kingdom so long ago, they were just following the King’s orders, only trying to give her a new life as that’s what she deserved, she didn’t deserve to die like the rest.

Decades later, the castle still stood strong against the evil and harsh weather conditions, for once she no longer felt the evil that she witnessed when she was a young girl; she followed a bunch of little girls inside her old bedroom, she felt like crying, but the tears wouldn’t escape from her eyes, then the touch of a hand on her shoulder released them and she broke down and turned around to see a picture of her father and the look of his face said he was proud that his daughter was alive and well, as she walked away from the rooms all of the bones from the knights started to disappear and turn to ash, they could finally rest in peace.

This week: SPARKS

In past pictures showed a young couple in love, hands locked together and their lips touched one another.

Whereas the newer pictures show no passion between them; the ring on her right hand rusted on her skin and he was too afraid to ask for it back.

Their bodies knew it wasn’t right to continue to deny that they no longer had feelings for each other anymore.

As others often crowded them at all times, they kept on plastering those fake smiles that they loved to put on.

They pushed back every negative thing in their relationship in hopes of finding something true, but failed.
