Vloggers That I Love #5

Howdy!

I think I am going to try to do one Vloggers That I Love post a month, because I have quite a bit still on my list. Every time I feel like I’m finally done putting new ones on it, I literally add two more, but mostly to include a third onto every post. Anyways, this week I is either going to make you very happy or depressed you’re not rich; we’ll see what happens at the end of the post?

RemiLife | luxury fashion, beauty + weight loss

I first discovered Remi’s vlogging channel last Christmas, I was looking for new Vlogmases to watch and I happened to find hers throughout the long list of channels. My first impression of Remi was that I loved her personality; she’s a fast talker, lovable woman. I knew I would be back day after day just to see what kind of craziness she’ll get into it!

Remi talks mostly about luxury fashion and beauty products, which is the reason why I said in the first paragraph that you might be a little sad while reading this post! Honestly, I love her hauls and gifted videos the most, because she gets so excited for everything! I’ve noticed that a lot of others that post similar videos, they’re not as thrilled on camera. I especially love it when her doggy Daisy gets in the middle of unboxing and wants to play at that exact moment. Poor girl!

Another thing I love about her is that she is real about her weight loss journey. Apparently that’s why she created her channel in the first place, which I thought was interesting because I figured that would be something that I would be afraid to share online, knowing all of the horrible comments a person can get on just about everything! She likes to talk about food, what she eats on a regular basis and even on her cheat days too! I actually love whenever she takes trips to Whole Foods because she’ll show you what she likes the most and goes for both healthy and junk food! She’s just me and she’ll find something and go “ooh!” for things she hasn’t seen in a while! She makes food shopping so fun!

AlishaMarie | luxury fashion, beauty, podcastor

Remi has a best friend that is featured quite a bit in her vlogs, and that is Alisha! She talks about the same things but her style is way different!

Alisha lives with her sister Ashlee, who also owns a YouTube channel! She has a puppy named Chloe, and her personality is similar to Remi’s but less bubbly. I honestly don’t watch her as much but whenever I do, I actually like to binge watch a few in one day! I love watching her makeup tutorials, I’ve been craving these videos lately and not only do I wear makeup, I don’t even own anything either. I just love watching the different ways to put it on I guess!

I left this last part to the end because it goes with both girls, they are pocastors of their own channel called Pretty Basic where they talk about everything in their lives like past relationships, insecurities, hottest trends, it’s a mixed bag and whenever my Spotify does work, it is fun to listen to their sometimes wild stories.

Inthefrow | luxury fashion & beauty

When I first found Victoria, I only knew about her blog (and her beautiful lilac hair!) but I didn’t really like her until I saw that she had a YouTube channel and I started to really get interested into her tastes! For a while, she was my only luxury blogger/vlogger, and while I was scrolling to see who follows and my original list of three turned into like eight or nine in a very short time span!

I think the main reason why I love watching her videos is that she has a gentle voice, her British accent is a little thick but I have been learning a lot about some of their terms over the years, so I’m becoming a bit of a pro now! She is into a lot of luxury items, and gets invited to a lot of events and sometimes they lead her away from London to various countries, like Paris, New York City and Tokyo. One of my favorite things is that she tries to take us along with a vlog or two of her adventures! It does nothing for my wanderlust but I am getting through it pretty well I think.

Unfortunately, I haven’t really kept up with her stuff and it sucks because she was one of the first few vloggers I started watching when I discovered the mother load of other blogs and YouTube channels in 2014. Maybe after this post is up I will get back into watching hers again? Has she gotten married yet? I would love to read that blog post or watch the vlog if it’s published already.

So, we are done with this list, but I do have like two more luxury vloggers that I tend to watch every once in a while, but I am going to keep them back for my next theme so you will have to wait for that! do you have any guesses as to the others are?

do you enjoy watching YouTubers that talk about luxury things like fashion, cars, and/or trips? Who do you love that you think I would like too?

Vloggers That I Love #4

Howdy!

I am so happy that I brought this series back because it seems everybody has been enjoying the last one a lot, so I figured it was time to come back for another post. This time we will be talking about family orientated YouTube channels. I have been loving these types of channels mostly because even though it’s usually a small fraction of their lives being recorded for us, they’re always so fun and interesting. I really look forward to a new vlog every week!

Now as much as this will be discussing the family side of these people, I really picked them for the fact that they’re all mothers but you get to see their interests in various things than besides their children. I was going to only list two for this post to keep up with my list, but I thought the last one fits better with this post than having to give it to another theme. Here are the channels that I think you should check out next!

Natalie Bennett | lifestyle + motherhood

Natalie has a second channels that includes her husband an their whole families. However, for this post, we are only highlighting her main channel. There are similarities to both of them as the kids: Liam, Judah, and Hailey are featured in several of her videos. I mean, you can’t expect her to turn off that part of her life. She does a lot of fun videos that include them right into the theme, like holidays, homeschooling, food, and even her daily routines.

As far as the lifestyle part, the term itself means “anything goes” so she does talk about beauty, fashion, health, and God. She’s had some issues with her health for the past few years, that involves her stomach, mostly it’s her GI tract and the woman has had a lot of changes in her diet between having to go both vegan and gluten-free at the same time. I mean, that in general is usually a choice you make on your own, but for some people it was recommended by your doctors. We haven’t had a proper update about her progress in a while so I hope she is doing better!

One of the things that I was surprised I wasn’t turned off about was the fact that both channels talk about their relationships with God. They do not shove it down your throat, but it does come up quite a bit in their vlogs. If you watch her morning routine video, you get a piece of it as she likes to take time out in the mornings to read sections of the Bible and incorporate it into her outlook of the day. I think because she has such a soft voice that whenever she does talk about her religion, it’s almost comforting and the fact that the kids want to learn about it is really cute too!

Megan Fox Unlocked | millennial, Mennonite & mom.

Now, if you’re thinking the actress Megan Fox made one heck of a life change, you’re wrong! This Megan Fox was born as a Mennonite in Pennsylvania. She lives a basically normal life, as she is a wife and mother of two: Evonne and Fletcher.

When I found this channel, I was a bit stunned but I really feel like I wasn’t the only one that has discovered her in the recent year or so! She has a whole video talking about others assumptions of what it is to be a Mennonite. It really did help at figuring out her way of life. For the most part, I’ve been around the Amish community, but hadn’t met anyone as a Mennonite until 2016. There are differences between the two, so before you go all judgmental, you need to really see her channel for yourself.

In a lot of ways, Megan and Natalie have a lot in common than besides their views in religion and motherhood, Megan also has a really nice voice. She doesn’t talk too fast or too quiet. She just seems like she wants to be your friend really, as she’ll give you some great tips about various things, such as decorating. I have grown to love those types of videos in the last month or so! She loves fashion, and the fact that she knows how to sew, she likes to make a lot of her own skirts and dresses, and even some household items like curtains too!

SparklyFamilyVlogs | teen parents of 3 living in Hawaii

The final YouTube family I love to watch is SparklyFamilyVlogs! Liola and her husband Na’ia are in their early twenties, parents to three beautiful, blond babies: twin boys Kekai and Koda, who have to be around four and daughter Everleigh who is under the age of two I think. They all live in Hawaii. Liola is a stay-at-home mom. They are basically homeschooling the children and they all live a vegan lifestyle.

How I managed to find them was interesting, because I think I was watching a vlog about a vegan dish and their newest video was on my right side, calling to me basically! I clicked it and was immediately curious about one of their sons, because they were running around behind their mama Liola, I wasn’t able to get a good look at the front of this child but I could see a familiar feature of the shoulders. They looked exactly like mine!

Little Koda has Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congentia too. No, I haven’t messaged them yet, I want to, but I don’t to overstep any boundaries so I’m still thinking about my approach before I go making a mess of myself! One of the reasons why I love watching their videos is because of him. He is so brave and living life to the fullest. Actually, the vlog I watched showed him trying to climb a tree with his brother. Koda can walk, he just can’t extend his arms, they’re bent at the elbow like mine. So, the fact that he basically walked on the bottom part of the tree was good enough for him. He was just excited to get that far I think! Liola is very nervous about him and how she’ll have to explain the differences and struggles to him and his siblings as they get older, but I think she and Na’ia will be just fine in the long run.

Before I go, I wanted to say that I didn’t think all of these families had more things than one in common with each other! I knew about the homeschooling and religion parts but it’s crazy to see it all written out in front of me! I know what I like, and that is an authentic sense of family even if it is on YouTube. They’re not bragging about the money that they could be gaining with their sponsored items, every vlog is like you’re hanging out with your best friend and since I can’t physically get out to be with my friends, this is enough for me!

Are you a fan of family YouTube channels? Do you watch any of the ones I mentioned above? If you have a favorite, please share them with me in the comments!

Vloggers That I Love | #3

Howdy!

Today I am going back to a short-lived series I created back in 2015, it was called “Vloggers That I Love” as it was a play on another series I did for my favorite bloggers at the moment. Unfortunately, I haven’t been wanting to read anything but I have been watching tons of new YouTube channels lately, so I thought that you would like to know who has grabbed my attention the most and maybe even watch them too!

Hannah Witton | disability, geek, sex & relationship

I don’t really remember how I discovered Hannah’s channel. I saw a video floating around on Twitter of somebody’s favorite disabled YouTubers and I think I watched two of them all the way through and I’m pretty sure that’s how I found her.

One of the things that I enjoy when I watch her videos, is how real she is to her audience. I think the best way to show you what I mean, is featuring the video where she explains her Stoma. I was very shocked on the fact that she was willing to show basically the whole world an exposed area on her lower stomach where her colon is located, to show us how she takes care of it day and night. Even though that was my initial reaction, I was honestly very impressed on how brave she is on doing that in the first place. She likes to talk about Crohn’s disease a lot. She helps spread awareness of it and isn’t afraid to talk about other disabilities on her channel either!

She is sex positive, which means she does discuss her sexuality very freely on her channel. I’ve noticed in the last few years that I would like to talk about sex and relationships not only on here, but in general. I’ve always believed that I am influenced by an 80 year old woman that makes me keep those topics as far away as possible, but I am slowly breaking away from that and trying to find ways to be more open to speak on about sex and relationships in my own way. I feel like she is helping me find that confidence to finally talk about some of these taboo subjects out loud.

The last thing that I felt I needed to mention is that she is a true geek. She loves to play video games with her boyfriend and friends. Whenever she talks about her monthly favorites, there are times where she’ll discuss about the games she’s been playing the most or books she’s been reading lately. So, she isn’t overwhelming you with her disability or talking about sexual things, she has a lot of other interests and that she is as “normal” as everybody else.

Jessica Kellgren-Fozard | disability, history, LBGTQ & vintage fashion

Since I’m going in alphabetical order apparently, I think I should mention that I found Jessica the same way as Hannah. Actually, I think Jessica helped me find her but I can’t remember, the best thing is that I found them and enjoyed them so much that I still watch their videos!

I think Jessica is a very unique YouTuber for so many reasons. The first time I ever watched one of her videos, I was sort of memorized because firstly her fashion sense. She loves vintage fashion, so much she literally dresses up in 1950’s clothes! Her red hair is curled perfectly and she apparently doesn’t own a pair of trousers at all! She lives in boldly patterned but cute dresses and red lipstick. It was amazing! However, it’s not just her style that is “old” she is like me and also love history! Whenever she discusses history, they are usually very informative, which is what I find kind of interesting since she is deaf, she talks on her videos and she is surprisingly clear in the way she speaks to her audience, but whenever she goes into these historicity figures is crazy, but in a good way! You literally forget that she is wearing hearing aids at all!

I need to point out that Jessica isn’t just deaf, she has a somewhat long list of other things “wrong” with her. They are Hereditary Neuropathy with Pressure Palsies and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Personally, I am still learning about them through her videos but there is a specific video that you can learn more about it on her channel!

Lastly, she loves to talk about the LBGTQ+ community. She is married to her wife Claudia of two years I think. They have two puppies, Tilly and Walter. Claudia does join in her videos from time to time. She also helps her photography on her Instagram and YouTube channel, but really they seem to have an awesome relationship and they are really funny together too!

I hope you enjoy these two ladies and their channels if you check them out. If you know of any other disability vlogger that you think I would like, please send them my way I would love to see what their life is all about as well!

Do you like to watch people on YouTube, recording parts of their daily life? Who is your favorite?

Favorite Booktubers!

booktubers

Howdy!

So I don’t know about you guys, but I really miss talking about my favorite bloggers/vloggers on here. I stopped doing those types of posts because I realized I was starting to consume a lot at a time and wasn’t really reading the blogs that I had chosen for the posts. I only picked those people because they were the last I talked to and I wasn’t even reading or watching their content.

Booktuber – A person who talks about anything book related on YouTube!

I have had plans to get back into my reading game but everytime I want to get a book, my mojo just disappears. I am constantly on Goodreads looking through my blogger friend’s profiles and what they like to read. It’s actually become a bit therapeutic for me to go off and search for more books to put on my TBR list. I’m not just on Goodreads though, I actually started using YouTube to look up different book hauls and even bookshelf tours!! At the end, I ended up liking a few people on accident! Luckily, I have a small list of girls who I tend to watch more than others and I wanted to share my favorite booktubers!

  1. Abookutopia – Sasha was one of the first booktubers I found when I first wanted to find some new books. I think I found her from another blogger who watches her channel and I ended up following her both on Twitter and Goodreads. One of the things that I’ve been worrying about if I ever start vlogging or making random videos on YouTube that nobody will ever understand me because I talk so fast! And then I found Sasha and she kind of made me feel better because she is a fast talker! What I find interesting is that she’s so fast but easy to understand. Even when she just flies through different book in a haul, she gets so excited and her personality just explodes!
  2. Little Book Owl – Catriona was my second booktuber that I started keeping up with on a daily basis. She’s the only one I’ve found so far that isn’t from the US. She is from Australia and one of my favorite things she was doing because she went back to Uni and took a feminist course, so she was “forced” to read different novels and short stories from different women and their stories. I’ve ended up putting a few on my list to keep track of in case I ever want to purchase them. She’s definitely quieter compared to the other girls, but I love her just as much! She’s also very nice too!
  3. Katytastic – Kat was found in the middle of the pack, I think I was watching a book haul after haul and she was one at the side of the site. I think there are a lot of similarities between her and Sasha, besides the fact they’re both fast talkers and have giant personalities. They also like the same genre of books. I like to read YA and if I ever need a new book in that genre then I know to go off on their channels and stay there for an hour or two! And yes, I have done that before!
  4. Readbyzoe – Zoe is my latest addition to the growing lists on booktubers! She is another talker, but she seems to have a very sweet and gentle personality. I’ve just started watching her videos and my first was the BEA (Book Expo America) and unboxing haul she put up last month! I added quite a bit on my Goodreads I’m not going to lie!

Are you a bookworm and addicted to these booktubers? Who is your favorite?

Vloggers That I Love #2

vlogs

It’s the second month of the year! It’s a good thing that I’ve decided to do these once a month because I don’t even watch three others in a week. I don’t like anything but the daily vlogs apparently, because I’m very, very addicted to them. I have to give the two I’ve selected for this month a lot of kudos because I don’t think I would be able to do a vlog everyday. I’m not all that interesting at the beginning of the week, trust me! If you haven’t watched these vlogger’s channels you really need to. Enjoy!

  1. PointlessBlogTV – You’ve heard me talking about Alfie’s channel a lot in the last month or so. When I wake up around noon or two in the afternoon, I’m very anxious that I’ve missed it so I literally go on Twitter first thing and load up the link if it’s there. I have watched a few of his main channel videos, not a lot though. I don’t understand how people like Alfie can do a different vlog everyday. I mean, when do you sleep? He’s got THREE different channels. So he’s always got something new coming along. That’s crazy!
  2. SacconeJolys – The SacconeJolys are a family of vloggers, originally from Ireland and now they live in England with their two kids: The parents and creators of this channel are Jonathan and Anna (both have separate channels as well) their children are Emilia, who is 2 and Eduardo who is almost a year old. Plus their six doggie friends. It’s a full house but they are really interesting! I’ve talked about them to my nana a lot and I’ve just found their videos quite recent. They recently went to Disney World and then went to Playlist Live afterwards. I watched that whole week of vlogs religiously! When Emilia met Cinderella, Anna, and Sofia the First I just bawling my eyes out. So many emotions were floating right out of me that I couldn’t control it.
