Movies I Want To See In 2016 | Second Half

Howdy!

Well, I’m back for another edition of “Movies I Want To See” and I had plans to have this published earlier, but I had too much going on at one time so again. I’m a little behind but that’s okay!

I want to say before I officially start this post, I have yet to see any films from the first post I put up in January! Well, that’s sort of a lie. I did finally watch Age Of Adaline recently and I have to say, it was a good cry and the wait for it was worthwhile too! So now we can get on with it! Hope you enjoy the next group of movies I want to see from July to December of 2016!

The Legend Of Tarzan – starring Alexander Skarsgard, Margot Robbie, and Samuel L. Jackson (July 1)

I am very curious about this movie. The live action versions of the beloved Disney movies we used to (for some of us that still) watch is a little strange because you’re imagining the songs and voice cast in your head. I’m a little concerned about Alexander Skargard as “Tarzan” for the past few months. The pictures and trailers seem to make him look good, but does it fit?

Since I’m not that familiar with the earlier films of Tarzan, I don’t know how different they would be against the animated version. I do think it would be fine because of how much special effects are in it.

Star Trek Beyond – starring Chris Pine, Zackary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana (July 22)

I have been looking forward to another Star Trek for a while! I am a very weird person sometimes considering what I’ve done with two different franchises. My Uncle Rick was or is addicted to the old Marvel comics whereas his niece–me–is into the films and TV shows based of those stories. I’ve done it again with my Uncle David with his love of Star Trek. He’s watched the TV shows and older Star Trek films from the 70s and 80s. I’ve been going crazy for the newer movies! I swear this was not planned!

I liked the first film they released in 2009, but getting into the sequel was a little intense. First of all, it was way too long and it seemed like it dragged on and on. So I am, again a bit concerned about this one too.

RIP Anton ♥

Nerve – starring Emma Roberts, Dave Franco, and Juliette Lewis (July 27)

This film was a last minute addition!! When I first saw this, I didn’t think it looked interesting. I’m also not that big of a fan of either Emma or Dave either so I just figured I wouldn’t care for it.

Well, since it’s getting closer to the premiere date, the ads on YouTube are mostly of this trailer! So I’ve been able to change my tune about it and have decided to add it onto this post as I kept thinking this is pretty interesting! Could you imagine if this was real? Not only would you be able to make money off of the crazy stunts you’d do, but how cool it would be to actually not care about the things you did. You just did them because somebody said so… Okay, that doesn’t sound like a good idea but I do see it as a cool thing! You’re not becoming a couch potato, but you’re doing something new every day?!

Suicide Squad – starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and Viola Davis (August 5)

This is the one superhero, well supervillain movie that my sister wants to see. She did go see Deadpool with Brandon earlier this past year and actually liked it. She actually came out saying she wanted to see this one though!

I know I won’t be seeing this one in theaters. I just can’t do that to myself, I’m sorry! Jared Leto as “The Joker” will be in my head and possibly my dreams for weeks if I do that… so I’ll wait. I am really excited that Margot will be playing Harley Quinn. I’ve been doing some research on these villains so I’m good by the time I can finally see it.

Morgan – starring Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Rose Leslie (September 2)

I saw this trailer on accident, actually this and the one below were both found on accident.

So I’m going with what I’ve found on Google, but looks like the story is based on an artificial being named Morgan and whether or not, she basically deserves to live or not. That’s basically all the information I’ve found about it and even the trailer doesn’t even give you a lot to go on, you just get this suspense feeling throughout watching it. Whatever it comes to be, I still want to see it!

The Girl On The Train – starring Emily Blunt, Justin Theorux, and Luke Evans (October 7)

I’ve been hearing some things about this film on my Twitter. It is based by the book by Paula Hawkins. I actually have this book on my TBR list so I might read the book before I see it, I already have plans doing this with Me Before You too. It seems like another good drama, suspense movie too!

Doctor Strange – starring Bendict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, and Mads Mikkelsen (November 4)

Doctor Strange. I think I only want to see this because of all the hype I’ve seen all over the place. I don’t know much about this character and story line so I’ll have to read up a bit on it beforehand but it does seem like a good action, superhero-y worthy type of movie!

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them – starring Eddie Redmayne, Jon Voight, and Colin Ferrell (November 18)

If I didn’t put this on here, I think a lot of my family members would probably think I’m weird considering how obsessed I am with the whole Harry Potter series. I know a little bit about this but not a lot, so I can’t wait to learn more about this character and I love the fact that the song that is featured in the trailer is a remake of the one used in the HP films! I am really excited about this one! Eddie Redmayne has yet to disappoint me!

Assassin’s Creed – starring Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons (December 23)

I’m pretty sure this movie is only on this list for two reasons. 1.) Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard are in it. 2.) Brandon is obsessed with the games. So I have been curious how they can create a film based on it. This will be the third game based film I am looking forward to, next will be the new Underworld: Blood Wars and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

Sing – starring Matthew McConaughy, Reese Witherspoon, and Seth McFarlene (December 23)

I have to have at least one kid friendly film on this list. I saw this on YouTube and I think I fell in love with it immediately. It looks so cute! I think I am going to Resse Witherspoon’s character, she plays the mother pig and I think it will be such a lovely role. I’m also very excited about Tori Kelly playing a character in this movie too! I think it will the perfect film to round out the year!

Which movie(s) from this list are you the most excited about seeing now? Have you seen any from the first post?
