Five Sentence Fiction: Vacation

NewFSFBadge-1

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This week: VACATION

The days of waking up at 6-7am, riding a bus to school to an eight hour-long day acting like I’d remember everything that a teacher taught me when I’d graduate.

I miss the times where breaks were only a week or two long but I didn’t know what time it was or the date because I wasn’t searching for a clock high up on the wall nor was I panicking about a test that was four days away.

Those days where having a good and bad hair day weren’t worth bitching about or the fact that I looked like a fool wearing pajamas to school when it wasn’t Spirit week.

Where summer break started in the last week of May, summer school started two weeks after and only lasted for two week at a times, and then you only had a whole month left to enjoy your freedom until you had to go back into the hell hole again.

As you get older and the longer you’re out, things like these have a tole on you because everything that you once hated has some pretty interesting, hilarious, and awakening memories to it; to me I spent 12 years of vacationing in school, I’ve had my fair share of them and I’ m not going back anytime soon.

  1. Twelve years !!!
I spent 17 1/2 years counting Kindergarten and 4 1/2 years of college, As I look back I can remember the song we sang in our earliest years of school:
    No More Teachers
    No More Books
    No More Teacher’s Dirty Looks.
While the most of my first 13 years taught me what I really need to know, my years at college is now ONE BIG BLUR !!!

    THANKS for the memories !!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
