Five Sentence Fiction: Clutch

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This week: CLUTCH

Dressed in black from head to toe, silver jewelry, and wore dark make up on her face; she was asking for it as she walked around the party.

As others around her whispered about her appearance, her eyes sparkled and she got off on being the center of attention, she could take the phase “drop dead gorgeous” to new heights after tonight.

She wasn’t bothered by the words of others next to her, she kept her distance from the ones who were drunk, but that didn’t mean she didn’t stay away from the ones who were intoxicated by her, whether it was right or not, she was like a spider, lacing them onto her web before wrapped them and feed on them.

She knows what people assume of her, but sadly it was far from the truth.

She had the exterior of somebody that was not to be messed with, but on the inside she was a sweetheart that wore her heart on her sleeve, went home to wipe away her disguise, take off her costume, and put her spiked clutch purse back in the closet along with her combat boots.
