What do you do when the sun doesn’t feel like coming out in the middle of the day?
If you’re stuck at work or in classes all day long, at least you can easily find something to make your day better. Whether that is ten cups of coffee or numberous stops to the nearest convenient store to grab your favorite soda. You might bring some candies with you to munch on throughout your day. Trust me, finding something good when you’re at work or somewhere else when the sun decides to stay inside the clouds is a lot easier when you’re at home. I try to not complain about it anymore. I’m a bit calmer in finding something to distract me from being bored and lonely. Some days are better than others, but like today. I’m in between. Funny thing is, I don’t feel depressed or sad, I just feel sleepy. My sleep had been messed up but I thought I had it back on track and after what felt like nine hours between last night and this morning, the fact that my body feels tired at all confuses the crap out of me.
When you’re at home like me, were the sun is gone, and night will be here within the next hour or so what gets to that second wind? It seems like when I gain my second wind, it just sneaks up on me and I don’t even realize it until later on when I actually want to go to sleep. You see how that works? What I want to know is, what do you do to get that good mood in you to get you through the next few hours before it’s time for bed? I try to do my prayers before midnight, around 11:30pm. I listen to my iPod through my headphones for two hours and then take them off and watch TV for a bit. Yesterday, I finally realized that both “Frasier” and “I Love Lucy” were back on Hallmark Channel. I have been having my TV set on NickMom and actually been enjoying some of their shows at night. One of them being “The New Adventures Of Old Christine” and watching it on Tuesdays just give me an extra dose of Clark Gregg. He’s a funny guy I’ve got to say, but I actually didn’t watch that show last night. I actually watched “Frasier” on mute and I’ve to got to say I’ve missed that show. I’m always glad that “The Golden Girls” comes on at midnight so I have a good excuse to roll over and go to sleep. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn’t. It just depends.
Anyways, what I want to know before you have your shows late night. What do you do to keep yourself awake?
I usually try to listen to energetic, upbeat music. Mainly dance related music. Like right now, I’ve got my Spotify on Ellie Goulding’s page and have it on shuffle. I’ve heard “Lights” three times now. It’s not working as good as I’d hoped it would, but it’s keeping me awake. So that’s a plus. My dad is bored and can’t find anything on TV so he is watching “Christmas Vacation” in the living room at the moment. I’ve actually heard him laughing in there too. I did try to watch a movie too, but I’m afraid I’ll drift off in the middle of it, so I turned it off. I know a lot of people like to watch marathons to keep them entertained while they’re at home. That has actually worked before. I have watched majority of a season of “The Vampire Diaries” in one day. Old movie classics are good too. I like to watch the Back To The Future trilogy whenever I’m bored at home. What is your go to movie or TV show to keep you occupied?
I’m just surprised that I’m not in the mood to read my book. For me, wanting to read a book for one month is not doing so hot right now. All right, I’m going to go on Pinterest and see what I can find to pin on there. Or if I get really low, but then again now that I’m thinking Yahoo’s Pool Practice doesn’t sound like that bad of an idea. Hmmmm…. we’ll see if that works any, before searching on my TV for something to watch again. I’ll still be listening to Ellie Goulding until I give up and switch over to the local radio station. So I hope if you’re bored, you’re day gets better. If you’re at work or in class, I hope they end soon.
