“Thud”
“What the hell was that?” Clara said,
“Nothing,” Josh replied back to his mother.
“Footsteps getting closer”
“Uh, mom what are you going?” Josh said, trying to calm himself down.
“I want to know what that noise was.” She said.
“It was probably something outside.” Josh said as tried to push things over with his foot away from the crack of the door.
“Slow squeaking as the door opens”
“Oh…..my…..god!” Clara said in horror.
“It’s not too bad.” Josh said with a half smile, hoping it would help. Eh, no.
“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR ROOM?” Clara yelled as loud as she could.
“I think one of the blue juice drink exploded after being in the mini fridge after a few days.” Josh said as he tried to move the other junk that was still clean from the spill.
Blue stains were everywhere, on the floor and walls, covering ever inch of the room as it could.
“I swear you make me wonder if I slept with your Uncle Jack when I got pregnant with you. I swear you have same idiotic genes as him.” Clara said while walking around the blue puddles.
“You didn‘t, right?” Josh said with a chuckle, but when Clara shot him a glare back, his laughter stopped.
“Well, it was the 70’s, there’s no telling especially since I swear I was drunk through most of the decade. I could have had sex with anybody.” Clara was sharing WAY too much with her twenty something son.
“Okay, I think I heard just a little bit too much than I needed to hear.” Josh said as he left to go downstairs to grab some cleaning supplies.
“Sorry, but you’re still an ass, just like your uncle.” Clara said as she grabbed a laundry basket to put any blue clothes inside to be washed.
