Five Sentence Fiction: View

If you click on the picture, it will automatically take you to the Lillie McFerrin Writes site. So you can post your five sentences there.

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This week: VIEW

From the top of the mountains the color of the sky changed from a beautiful baby blue to a dark horizon coming right towards us.

The wind had carried the fire from the top of the mountains to the trees at the bottom to where my family and I lived.

We didn’t have enough time to pack up everything and evacuate the area, as my wife rushed my family to pack, I watched the flames come closer and felt the heat in the air and watched it change the brown bark to ash.

The flames had killed the innocent trees and made all the animals scatter to save their own lives.

Such a sight to see something so strong burn the life of humanity so fast.; even when your own is at stake, but you still can’t help but notice how it can take something you know and love away.
