So I read a few things on my Facebook this morning, one of being Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society, had named his son Sabbeth Page, after his favorite band and favorite guitarist. To some it would be weird, but have you ever thought of naming your child after your favorite band or anything else you like? Everybody gets inspiration from other couples baby names, especially if they’re famous. Take, Kourtmey Kardashian for example, before Mason was even born everybody knew that name would be EVERYWHERE! Now that she’s given birth to Penelope, I bet I’ll be seeing that everywhere too!
One of my friends had read the same thing I read about the Zakk effect and she put on her Facebook status a bunch of names that she liked, each being a favorite band and favorite guitarist. She put a total of seven options. Here were a couple of options she put down, Motley Mars, Keith Steel, and Rolling Richards. Now, if you can’t figure out what she’s using. She’s using Motley Crue, Mick Mars, Keith Richards, Steel Panther, and Rolling Stones. Pretty clever right? She’s got the right idea! Her favorite and also my favorite is Crue Richards. It works, doesn’t it? It’s cute and creative! What more can you ask for?
I have thought of using band names as my kids names, but I’ve rather use them in my pets names instead. I know for a fact I won’t be able to use Five Finger Death Punch. For one, it’s too long and the other, well… you figure it out. A couple of years ago, I did want to use “Linkin” but it was just a thought and apparently I let that thought out of my mouth because my mom still thinks she’ll have a grandson with the name of “Linkin” for my love of Linkin Park, but I don’t know I am very picky with my names. If I picked out a band or favorite member of whatever band I like as my son’s name it would have to be different. Knowing my family, I’d get the axe for it. My mom is into unique names but not everybody in my family is a fan. I also like a lot of different music so staying in the whole rock n roll concept would be kind of difficult for me. I had always thought about it, but I don’t know if my signifant other would be up for it.
