I was wondering what my name meant. I already knew the origin and meaning of it from the time I was born. It means “Pearl” which ironically is my great-grandmother on my Papaw’s side. Her name was Pearle, apparently the unique names run in the family. My nana’s real name was Ruth. When she got adopted her parents named her Dona. She said she’s always had problems with people either spelling it wrong or proannouncing it wrong. It’s the same as “Donna” just if you’re wondering. My mom’s middle name is Leah. It’s different and use to be hard to find anywhere. My cousin and I were both born with unique spellings. Her name is Kristi, I always had trouble spelling it right. So far, the great-grandkids all have right spellings.
I got a little sidetracked. Oh well. My name apparently means a lot of things. That’s only looking on Urban Dictionary and I got a good laugh on what people think my name really means. Which is good, and yet bad depending on how each “Meghan” are in their lives. Here are a few funny sumits I found on the site.
“Meghan is the name for a skanky slutty ho born to backwoods retard parents who cannot spell correctly.”
“The most amazingly beautiful person to ever set foot on the planet. Commonly a girl with a heart bigger than the Earth itself, yet likes to deny it, some one who is musically talented in more ways than one, they can sing, dance, perform and compose. A Meghan is hard to understand, usually they are considered to be a purple beast when it comes to having a great time in life. Meghan’s are easy to fall head over heels in love with and so hard to forget, you want to be with a Meghan no matter what once you meet one. Knowing a Meghan personally I can deeply express the love and devotion I feel for mine, I wanna stand by her side forever and nothing will stop me. A Meghan, in simpler words, is perfection in the eyes of every person imaginable.”
“A crazy beautiful girl who is down to earth and will always be there for her best friends. The girl that every guy wants to be with and every girl wants to be.”
I had to post the first one. It was just too funny not to, and I kept the “r” word because I didn’t think you’d get it without it. That’s the only time you’ll see the word, it’s in a quote. The other two some of my family members could probably agree with, but I didn’t think they were me to a T. So I went with this last one and I love it.
“Usually quiet, but very gorgeous and loves to make new friends. Not the slutty kind. Hates backstabbers. Very intelligent and loves to learn new things. Meghan is the most awesome person you could meet on earth. She’s one of a kind.”
I have a playlist on my Spotify called, “What I Grew Up On” but it’s mostly full of rap songs which is what I listened to when I was little, but it’s somewhat of a lie too. Rap wasn’t the one thing I loved when I was little. If you think about it, I think my mom was really missing the 80’s rap because I listened to Salt-n-Pepa and En Vogue a lot. I know that wasn’t all she had me listen to, it’s just what I can remember.
I remember when I first got my radio ever. My parents were getting furinature and appliances and somehow in the mist of that my nana bought me a radio and my first CD ever. Wanna guess what it was? I was addicted to The Backsteet Boys growing up, and had a big crush for Brian Littrell. He was just too cute! I think I was seven years old when I got my first radio. I still have it, and it surpringly still works too.
Since then I’ve had a few larger stereos systems. My music has grown up too. I think after my first CD I got the second Backstreet Boys album. Then Britney Spears, not her first album. By the time I was in the fourth grade I actually counted how many CD’s I had. I had 45. I think I’ve doubled that now. Or tripled it. I actually have all the Backstreet Boys albums but two. Linkin Park has pretty much beaten them to the curb. I have 7 Linkin Park albums and 5 Backstreet Boys albums.
So many thing can make a person happy. Happiness should happen to every person I think. If only sadness didn’t exist. I wouldn’t be sad all the time and I wouldn’t have to help somebody else find their happiness. Everything you have or do gives you some kind of happiness you just don’t know it. Music, movies, books, and tv shows are the most common objects we use to make us happy if happiness doesn’t come to us. Family, friends, food, no homework on Fridays are the ones that makes us happy just out of the blue. What makes you smile? I’m fairly easy to get a smile on my face. I’ll do anything to get a smile on your face too. So be careful if you say you’re sad or anything. I’ll get you in a better mood.
I like to have some fun. Who doesn’t? I’ve always wanted to have a masquerade party, I’ve always loved the masks. Even though I hate almost every mask out there. Well any that looks scary. To me, every mask is like a clown. Although you’re not really wearing as much makeup as a clown while wearing a masquerade mask. These kind of masks are different than any other masks.
They are regal. Elegant. Classical. Somewhat mysterious too, depending on how you carry yourself while wearing a mask like this. It’s kind of a like an another story of Cinderella. She was a servent to her stepmother and went to a ball when she was not allowed to and her fairly godmother dressed her up and so ono and so on. I don’t need to go on when we should all know the story. These masks are like our own fairly godmothers helping us out.
These masks can make us forgot about our problems for just a moment. It takes everything away that can make us feel ugly inside. Our eyes are our best feature we have on our faces. No matter what others say. Every eye is different. In shape or color. Be thankful for the ones who can open their eyes and see out of them. Some of us don’t have that choice.
I wish everybody voted for the masquerade theme for prom during my Junior year but no it had to be “Welcome To The Jungle” which wasn’t bad, but not what I picked. I wanted to be regal. Elegent. Classical. Somewhat mysterious just for one night. However you can’t be too different when you are in a wheelchair, but at least I’d feel beautiful for once or twice.
